INTRODUCTION
In this report, there is discussion about issues which arise while making hotel profitable
and then analysing weakness which has to be overcome. For improving skills, there is
preparation of action plan which assist in improving these characteristics. This reflection report
is based on Palm Beach Hotel which is compared with its competitors Licitatie Hotel in terms of
profits, revenues, expense, etc.
MAIN BODY
While performing actions to be purchased hotel Palm beach profitable, there are different
challenges which I faced. But this makes me learn different things which make by future bright. I
use Kolb's Learning cycle in order to acknowledge areas of learning.
Kolb's Learning cycle
There are four factors of Kolb's learning cycle. They are discussed as under-
Concrete Experience - I face problem to work in team because I do not do such task
earlier. I have good communication skills, so I can communicate team mates to do specific task
within specific time. As I am punctual so all the activities are conducted on time. I am good at
excel work but weak in presentation skills. I have good EI level, so I analyse perform of my hotel
with others to make it more profitable as compared to others.
Reflective Observation of the New Experience - With conducting activities on time, I
am able to reduce expenses which are occurred in quarter 3 to 4. But due to unsynchronised
activities, there is increment in overhead expense.
Abstract Conceptualization- Then with comparing performance of Hotel Palm Beach
with Licitatie Hotel, then I realise that expense win quarter 4 and 5 are less than other
organisation. So this motivates me to give best.
Active Experimentation- At last I make strategies for proper communication through pre
determined meetings I am able to make clear to workers regarding performing work and
assist in improving profits.
Action plan
As there are some issues which affects my performance to make Hotel Palm Beach
profitable, so I prepare personal action plan to resolve it.

From the above discussion, it is clear that Good communication skills, Punctuality,
Emotional intelligence, Excel work are good which assist in improving performance of Hotel
Palm Beach in terms of profitability. While Team working, Time management, Planning for
Meeting, Presentation skills are weak which are analysed through Kolb's learning cycle.
