previous assessment 3 that was based on
evaluation and identification of social
determinants of health.
The social determinant identified in previous
assessment is housing insecurities and its
impact on the population ad their health.
The target population for this study is the
homeless and refugee groups who have high
housing insecurities that impact their health.

Canada is a highly developed country with the
economy of 16th largest GDP in the world (Gaetz,
Gulliver and Richter., 2014).
The housing is a major issue in Canada even today
and the insecurities associated with it are also
evident.
The major reason for this issue in Canada is lack of
economic resources in this sector (Gaetz, Gulliver
and Richter., 2014).
The Canadian hosing market is the least affordable
market in the world that is associated with private
sector.

Housing is one of the fundamental requirements
of a human being as human is a social animal
with ethical sense housing remains a necessity
for him (Gaetz, Scott and Gulliver., 2013).
According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs
housing is the necessity of an individual that

The plan has a budget of $40 billion.
The aim of this strategy is to build home for
every individual in Canada.
Through the collaboration of NHS the
government aims at bringing together the
profit and non profit as well public and private
organizations to support this strategy
(Stewart et al., 2015).

It is the intergovernmental multilateral
housing initiative that aims at providing
affordable houses in Canada.
