INTRODUCTION
The success of any organization is achieved with its potential and efficient employees. An
organization need to increase the productivity by developing its employees and also developing
itself by policies and effective strategies. Any organization cannot succeed in its objectives
without the coordination of the employees with one another while performing the task. The HR
manager has to analyse the organizational need to train the employees using appropriate tools
and techniques. There are so many roles which HR plays for developing performance of
employees. HR is the one who is responsible for hiring new talent to an organization. High Town
housing is a housing association which has been established in London, United Kingdom. Report
will highlight appropriate knowledge skills, require by HR professional. It will also highlight
skill audit and personal development plan.

Knowledge required as HR advisor
Knowledge is base of doing any work and the knowledge which is required by HR
advisor is that they should now about all the roles which HR plays, as an HR advisor of
Hightown Housing Association there should be knowledge of ethics of company for example as
a part of Hightown Housing Association HR advisor should know what are the ethics and
principle on which company runs so that HR can make other employees understand about the
ethics of company like they should not be engaged in misbehaving with any colleagues or low
level work and there should not be any biases of gender. They should have knowledge relate dto
technical and management skills. (Eling and Schaper., 2017). HR advisor must have knowledge
or can be said that HR should have expertise of his work so that he handle all the situation of the
organization like sometimes employees of organization faces problem like they do not feel
motivated their work, sometimes they do not like working climate due to inappropriate behaviour
of their superiors so that HR manager must have knowledge how to handle all this situation so
that employees will not leave the job and leaving job doesn't create good impression over
company. There are so many things in organization of which HR advisor must have knowledge.

Skills are those characteristics of HR advisor which define either HR advisor is good or
not. Skills which are generally needed by HR are like communication skills, it is most important
skill which HR advisor must have, as everything starts with communication, as HR advisor has
to deal with every situation through communication for example as an HR advisor of Hightown
Housing Association there are many duties like hiring, understanding the needs and problem of
employees and solving them through communication and if HR advisor is having good
communication than it is easy to deal with situation like this (Khan and Quaddus., 2015).
Decision making skills is also very important feature of good HR advisor as there are many
situations exist in company when HR has to take very fair and fast decision so that the situation
can be handled nicely. HR advisor who have skill of multi-tasking gets good growth in their
career, as multi task performers always have more knowledge than other person as they know
many things other than their work and having knowledge of different things make a person
versatile.
Attributes of HR advisor :
Attributes can also be described as qualities of HR advisor. HR advisor must contain many
qualities like strong interpersonal skills, it is that quality which makes HR advisor a great leader
because when interpersonal skills are better than HR advisor can attract the other person by his
way of communication for example if HR of Hightown Housing Association wants that all
employee should follow one direction and one leader then he should have very effectively
interpersonal skills. HR advisor must have the quality of fairness so that no employee will feel
biases in company because when HR do not do work with fairness this thing affect employee,
and they start feeling demotivated. Ability to display objective is also a quality which HR
advisor must have because if HR will not display objective to employees they will not
understand their role and the direction in which they have to go. Objective which HR should
display must be a common objective so that organization will able to achieve goal. This all skills,
knowledge, and attributes help in development of organization as well employees (Likoko and
Kini., 2017)

As an HR advisor of Hightown Housing Association I have to deal with many siuation.
So dealing with all such situation needs so much strength and after dealing with such situation
from last one year tells me about my power, and the foremost strength. I have seen in my self is
communication. I fell that my communication is my USP as I have deal so many times in such
situation in which communication was so important, so I think one of my strength is my
communication, another strength I feel in me is leadership quality, as an HR advisor one of the
most important power is leadership. as I think till now all the employees, and other staff which
are part of company are following all my orders and suggestion in nice manner so looking after
this I feel there are good leadership qualities in me.(Prajogo., 2016) As I have learnt so many
things about my profession and my company, so I think knowledge is my power big strength.
Weakness :
If person is having strengths then he will also be having weakness so after discussing my
strength. I feel my weakness are like I am little-bit emotional in some situation so when it comes
to decision making as HR advisor I am very weak at it. Another weakness I feel in me is my
impatience behaviour in some situations like sometime I take quick decision which is not good
neither for me nor for my organization. I am really work at problem solving and communication.
I am also weak at taking my own decisions. As I have joined as HR advisory last year only, so I
don't have perfectionism in my work and this is also a negative point but after passing more
years in organization. I will get little of perfectionism in my work (Wood and Logsdon., 2017).
Opportunity:
I have huge opportunities at the organization. I think my opportunities are like I can take
more and more of my works knowledge if I do my work patiently with learning mentality as
whenever person do work with keeping in mind that he will get something new every day then
he will do work quite good (Papilaya, Soisa and Akib., 2015). There are lots of opportunity
which I have find like after spending some time in organization I can make good progress if I
work hard and smart. As HR there are so many opportunities which come at our door and it is
our responsibility that how we use these opportunities. Once you ignore any opportunity it
becomes your weakness but if you take that opportunity it become our strength.
Threat :
When you are working in any organization there are so many threats around you like your
competitors, your attitude, sometime our colleagues also become threat to us. As working in

Hightown Housing Association I feel many threats like when I am a part of such big association
so to be a valuable part of this association I have to do my work with full strength like working
as HR advisor I feel threats like either I am performing well or not because it will directly affect
to my growth, and other threats like weather am I doing all the work according to company
norms or not so this all work is threat until this work is completed correctly (Eling and Schaper.,
2017).

Training and development
For effective management, company is engaged in providing training and development to all
employees. This make workers more efficient and focused. Training and development is also
being provided so that employees can continuously learn in firm. It can also support firm in
growing and achieving their goals and objectives.
Need of continuous learning and professional development:
Continuous learning is essential for every individual otherwise no growth will be there.
When a person wants to learn something new every day then they never feel like there is nothing
to do, because when person stop learning he started feeling like there is nothing new which make
them feel motivated. Continuous learning is a way to motivation. For example, if an individual is
working in Hightown Housing Association and he is working from last 2 years and there is no
learning till now, he is only doing work that much which he is assigned and nothing more from
his side. This shows he is not interested in learning and this thing will make his life constant,
which make his growth zero. Professional development is development in your job or business
carrier and this is must need development which everyone wants like if someone is doing job as
HR assistant then he must want that one day he will become HR manager and that is called
professional development.
