1. INTRODUCTION
The report main aim is to understand the knowledge, skills and experience that is
required by the graduates in order to enter into HR industry. The report will also explain and
contextualize employ-ability for the graduates in order to seeking employment and analyses
career relevant to someone who trying to gain an opportunity in this quoted industry. The report
will further determine the general trends that will impact upon HR industry and also describe the
skills, knowledge and experience that is required in order to gain the opportunity for the
graduates in HR industry and lastly, report will explain the need of this job.
2. Analysis and Application
Purpose: This section is based upon reflection that utilities both primary and secondary
research in order to identify the opportunities that HR should be posses. Further this section
describe the general trends that will creates the impact upon HR industry and also describe 5
personal skills required for a graduate and 2 areas of knowledge or expertise required for a
person in HR industry.
2.1 An Analysis of General trends in HR industry
HR Industry is fastest and growing industry among all and it is also analyzed that HR of
the company only helps to take better decision for the company's welfare. In this modern era, the
industry is also take a sharp move and affected by different trends as well and some of them are
as mentioned below:
Current technology trends: there are wide variety of technology trends that give shape
to the world of HR such as HR of the company start taking video job interview, it has
been further analyzed that the majority of interview processes can take place through this
at global level because it saves time and help HR to find the best candidate for their
company (Recent trend in Hr industry, 2019). Apart from this, there is a fast and growing
shift that also moves towards more data driven, intelligent digital organization. This is an
increasing the needs for tool and employee communication as well. Thus, by rise of
intelligent self- service tool is another technology trend that affect the HR industry in
positive way. New software also helps to creates positive impact such that cloud based
software that make software easy to learn and navigates as well.
Globalization affected trends:Globalization also affect the HR in industry in both
positive as well as negative way such that one of the emerging trend is diversity training

and cross-cultural professional development. As HR main purpose is to provide training
to their employees at global level and this helps to encourage the employees to become
more diverse both in their skill set (Vouzas, 2016). Apart from this, the company also
realizing the best match for the jobs and a push towards global recruitment will replacing
the traditional model of employing from the community and able to find the best
candidate for the business then this creates positive impact upon HR industry.
Other trends: Some other trend that affect the HR industry is such that the employers
have a new contract with employees and as compared to past generation who expected to
stay with one company and now new employees expect to have several employers during
their careers. Apart from this, the rise of people analytic is another major trend that affect
the industry (Roehling and et.al., 2015). In this, the data driven analytic are used to
determine the impact upon business profit but now HR are culling information from the
social media network in order to attract and retain talent or engaged workforce.
These recent jobs will assist the graduates in order to seek their future in HR industry
because it has been analyzed that by adopting new and advance technology into the
working area will help them to saves time and select the best candidate for their
company. Apart from this, if graduates in HR industry seeking their future in HR industry
then it will help them to enhance their current knowledge and also grab new opportunities
for their future as well (Bharwani and Butt, 2018). In addition to this, the young
graduates will also use advance software technology into their working area for
increasing the sales and maximizes profit.
2.2 Skills and Knowledge required for HR graduates
From the above, it has been cleared that of Graduates chooses HR industry then it will be
beneficial for them to enhance their current knowledge and grab better opportunities. But on the
other side, it also required some essential knowledge and expertise and these are as mentioned
below:
5 Personal Skills for graduate in HR industry:
Communication skills: It is the primary function of the HR that involves the discussion
between employers and employees. Therefore, both oral and written skills are required by
HR in order to effectively relay information. Such that if they posses the conflict
resolution skill then they will able to deal with some complex situation as well.

Teamwork and collaboration: Collaborating in HR means working with professionals
from many departments and as HR are the major part of a company, that is why they
should also know how to work in team. Therefore, they should also know teamwork and
collaboration skills as well (Chung-Herrera,s Enz and Lankau, 2018).
Multi-tasking: HR plays different role in a company such that they manage job
advertisement, compensation, interviews and training programs. Therefore, this shows
that they should be multi-tasker and be able to remain calm under pressure. Apart from
this.
HR organizational skills: it has been analyzed that the more organized Hr are, the better
they will able to stay ahead. They should also posses the organization skills that includes
meeting are scheduling with special thoughts and all the issues are handles in proper way
or not.
Conflict management: Hr should also posses the negotiation skills, and also address the
grievances between employees and mangers that is another core responsibility of HR.
through their conflict solving skills, they should be able to approach come complex
situation with maturity.
2 areas of knowledge or expertise is required for a graduate in HR industry
The graduates must have the knowledge of training sessions and critical thinking skills
that need to balance the complex situation.
They should also posse the ethical knowledge because HR handles a lot of personal
information about a firm and HR should make sure that the employees and employers are
following the regulations and be vocal when those regulations are ignored (Pandey, Singh
and Pathak, 2019).
Knowledge: the graduates should have the knowledge of IT field, leadership,
management and maintaining the employee relation so that they will deal with many
complex situation as well and lead a business at next level of success.
3. Evaluation
The vacant position is HR Manager
I choose this position because I realized that HR manager plays an effective role in a
company and they are also responsible for all day to day activities. Through their
effective decision making abilities only, the business reach further level of success. As

their main work is to recruiting the best candidate for their company and they also resolve
complex situation to maintain the best employee relations. Apart from this, this position
is also related to my potential choice as I posses good management skills, communication
and conflict management skills that a HR professional must posses.
I choose this job opportunity as compared to other because HR manager is the head of a
firm and they take all the necessary decision which are essential for a business. As other
options are not as much important as HR Manager is, because this role help me to learn
new roles and responsibilities and as I also posses better communication skills and deal
with even complex situation as well, therefore, I prefer to choose this job profile rather
than others.
HR Manager is not emerging role but I also evaluated that the role is quite common and
young graduates can easily set their future or career option in this because through this, a
person will interact with new members and learn new roles i.e. organizing skills, decision
making skills and many more, that is not possible in other option in HR industry. In
addition to this, having a career in HR industry as a HR Manager will be more creative
because I will also create own new ideas in order to reach the business at further level o
success. Therefore, it clearly shows that it is future proofed.
4. CONCLUSION
By summing up above report it has been concluded that HR industry is an integral part
for the success of any organization and it is one of the most emerging sector as well. From the
report, it has been concluded that HR industry general trend are cloud computing software,
Mobile optimization and then it also concluded some skills and knowledge that should be posses
by the graduates to seek their future in HR industry. In addition to this, report concluded that the
job advertisement for the role of HR Manager in HR industry.
