You are required to apply the techniques of Continuous Professional Development. You need
to:
1. Provide a summary of your ‘My CPD' self-assessment in approximately 250 words in
the box below – for example; key development identified, any surprises, how useful
you found the exercise
As it is determined in my CPD self-assessment to work on my networking skills, the
assessment determines that I have an appropriate amount of knowledge related to HR and its
associated practices. Therefore, I need to work on articulating my own practices and
expectations with this field. Currently, my biggest weakness in my practices includes
adopting a practical learning approach to make constructive decisions for my performance.
Previously I have made some mistakes associated with business practices that helped me to
get better. It has also encouraged me to act in line with the organizational standards and
framework to meet their targets. Meanwhile, the self-assessment has helped me give sound
judgment to my business approach and develop myself as a role model. The approach will
help me develop my skills as an efficient HR; adopt independent work skills, balancing my
personal and professional life.
Currently, I want to work on developing my HR agendas with clear HR goals, and
maintain my commitment towards the organizational challenges. My strong areas in HR
practices include my resourcing approach to communicate with different departments; it also
includes looking for researching for the external market on different talent level based on the
available resources following talent management and succession planning (DeCenzo et al.,
2016). However, for future, I want to give a level up with resources and talent planning in
developing long term talent goals to align people’s processes for example reward, learning

and development, and others. It will help me design and lead HR processes aligned with
employment laws (Marchington et al., 2011).
