Learning and development are two essential elements that give benefit to organisation and
individual as well. Each firm aims to hire skilled employees in business unit so that operational
efficiency can be improved. Human resource manager is responsible for giving them training so

discuss knowledge, skill and behaviour require in HR professionals. Furthermore, it will conduct
personal audit of Jane Cambridge in order to identify training and development needs of person.
Report will create professional development plan in order to improve lacking points and develop
capabilities in HR professional. In addition, contribution of HPW to employee engagement with
reference to Hilton hotel will be discussed. Assignment will also explain different approaches of
performance management and its significance will be illustrated.

It focuses on future.

It is normally given to prepare employees for
future challenges or we can say that it emphasis
on successful professional carrier .
Only one individual is involved in a
development (Gardner, Gino and Staats, 2012).
While, in this objectives are much broader
which can cover all type of skills and
knowledge.
e) Need for continuous learning and professional development
In this competitive world nothing is stable. Every day innovation comes in the market
with new things and take positioning in mind of people. There is a need for continuous learning
in Hilton hotel for developing itself and employers too. Employers are only who will help this
organization to stay in the market.
There are the following reasons -
Developing Talent :- When Hilton Hotel takes time to train employees, it is easy to
recognize their talent and also know about their strength and weakness and starts work on
it. It also includes team work training. During training the team find persons who are
quick learner and smart worker and take advantage of it.
Improve relationships :- The most powerful thing is to maintain and develop relations
within and outside the Hilton hotel Because if relations are good then its easy to
communicate with each other and handle any situation with coordination of team. So it
says that good relations with each other improve efficiency of the hotel (Elia, Margherita

hotel which through staff will give good services to the clients and satisfy them.

and staff develops the organisation so good training gives good outcome. And once
company make its reputation than its easy to survive in the competitive market (Gallo,
and et.al., 2014). Goodwill is everything for every organisation.
Employee satisfaction :- Hotel Hilton which invest in training programme to satisfy
employee and to grow up their talent and work on their weakness, is gain better outcome
from employees. If employees of the hotel satisfy than everything is good for the
organisation. It is possible that the head send any employee to other country for
international seminar and conferences that can be beneficial for them.
Handle other departments :- If hotel Hilton gives training to the employees and trained
them for all departments so it is good. And in case of lake of staff the other employees
will handle that department.
Decrease in mistakes :- Without training no one can survive in hotel Hilton and if training
team is not giving actual training to the employees then definitely staff will do mistakes
and harm the hotel and it will make impacts on the goodwill of the hotel.
Quality improvement :- Mainly customers of hotel Hilton are quality conscious and to
improve the quality of hotel there is need to trained workers for better outcome
(Cummings and Worley, 2014). Quality of product and service are improved through
training of workers.
Industrial Safety :- Trained workers of hotel Hilton run the machines and equipment
safely. If employee relate to the technological field, can easily handle the machines and
decrease the chances of accidents
