Personal and professional development is the necessary need for an individual to develop the
both personal and professional development growth which is helpful to make the long lasting
challenging performance. In other words, it helps to motivate the employees into more effective
manner. Present report presenting the skill audit and further provide personal development plan.
In this M&S company would be taking into action.

Different learning theories and approaches for personal growth
Social learning theory: in this theory which refers that individual can learn both directly or
indirectly by observing and watching others (Brockett, and Hiemstra, 2018). M&S employees
can adopt this learning theory and learns from their supervisors and bosses. As per this theory

employees need to adopt three stages in the sequence that is attention towards the work, learning
take place through observation and the subject analyses and codes the learning. This skill helps
to enhance individual interpersonal skills either face to face or in a team (Martin and Franc,
2017).
Cognitive Approach to Learning: this theory of learning will help employees to focused on the
role of the active mind in order to grab opportunities and developing (Rahimi, van den Berg, and
Veen, 2015).

As discussed above in the report it has been discussed an employee personal development
plan. It discussed individual skill audit on that behalf study also explained some learning theories
that helps employee to develop in continuous manner such as social and cognitive learning
approaches. Further in the report, it also discussed personal development plan to cover up the
weaknesses.
