EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Personal analysis refers to the self-analysis of an individual that enable it to know its
personal strength and weakness. Likewise, through career plan the future course of action with
reference to the weakness are being made so that it will be mitigated. This report will throw its
light over the concept of personal analysis whereby a self-analysation is being made. This will
further be followed up by the career action plan which will guides the required action and time
frame in order to mitigate the weakness. Lastly a CV is being attached in appendix with
reference to the job advertisement.

INTRODUCTION
I have identified a job opportunity of a HR executive in the retailing sector. As HR is that
field that has wide career opportunities with respect to emerging or changing trends of
globalisation. Also as no company can survive without the presence of human resource
department so it would not be wrong to said that this sector has bright career opportunities (Rana
and Sharma, 2019). In order to grab this career opportunity and become a successful HR
executive it is essential that an individual must possess the key skill of communication,
leadership, time management, adaptability, organizational and decision making skill. Presence of
these skill enables an individual to have a better performance of the function and roles related
with their job position. Along with the presence of these skills it is also important that an
individual must possess the expertise and knowledge of laws and regulations with compensation
and benefits related knowledge so that they can have a better workforce planning and
management. These skills and knowledge will assist the HR to have a better operation of the
company’s operation and employees handling.
PERSONAL ANALYSIS
As I dream of choosing a career related with the HR executive so it is very essential that in
order to have a better performance of work and justifying my career with respect to job, there is a
requirement of the presence of certain skills and expertise. As HR is having a direct interaction
with the employees of the company so it is very essential that it must possess the skill of
effective communication so that it can express the ideas and thoughts in an effective manner.
Likewise, with the presence of leadership skill, HR can act as a leader and direct the employees
and the organisation towards the direction of the accomplishment of the goal (Lawler and
Boudreau, 2020). Since, HR need to operate many functions and activities so it is very essential
it must possess time management skill so that it can handle and perform every activity of time.
Likewise, a good decision making skill enable the HR that it can take adequate and best decision
with respect to company.in the same manner, organizational and adaptability skill also assist the
HR to adapt the changes.

As I want to grab this opportunity of HR executive so if I make my personal analysis then it

expertise and skills. This means I have an adequate set of good communication, leadership,
adaptability and organizational skills. However, I need to work over the skill of time
management and decision making because these skills are not adequately present in myself. In
addition of this I also need to develop the skill of teamwork so that I can effectively manage the
team task. As team task is an important element of the HR function so if I would not possess this
skill then it would be counted under my weakness which will make my application weak with
respect to the job. Likewise, presence of advisory skills is also very important element of the HR
that guides it to advice its employees (Magau, 2020.). Since, HR also is having a direct contact
with the employees along with a duty of resolving the issues of the employees so presence of this
skill would assist it to execution of this situation. But if I compare myself with respect to this
skill then is required for me to have an emphasize over this skill. While in the same manner, I
also have knowledge of compensation and benefit distribution. But again I need to work over the
raising of my knowledge related with the laws and regulations.
When I compare the evidence of the job description with respect to the job and my personal
trait, I found that is-spite of presence of almost all the skills and the required knowledge, I still
need to add more evidences in the form of working over the needed skills that is lack in my
personal analysis.
However, in case if I compare my application with respect to the job requirement of HR
executive I found that due to the presence of above skills I have certain advantage that I can get
