1.0 Introduction
I have chosen Human Resource management as my coursework and I aim for handling
the issue related to the recruitment procedure for the employees, performance management,
defining safety, wellness and benefits. The role that I have opted to perform in my initial days of
my career is Human Resource Executive. In this business report, I will explain my experience
of attending two events- job fair and annual fest and how my sills of human resource
management will help me to get the job that I am aspiring for. I will explain the details related to
my coursework and its benefits that I can get for the desired job. Furthermore I will analyze a
professional qualification and plan to acquire the recognized professional qualifications. Lastly, I
will also provide a current job description along with the specification for the job. I will also
describe the interview process through STAR method.
2.0 Discussion

2.1.1 How can networking helps in becoming more commercially aware of your sector
According to Bearzotti et al. (2012), networking in human resource management has
several benefits and these are- ability to build god reputation, facilitate trust from others,
enhancing ability to accomplish work and relationship with many stakeholders. This will help me
to assess the workplace condition prior taking any decision or formulating any policies. As a part
of the job for the designation of human resource executive, I have to understand manpower
requisition, drafting the requirement of the job description, screening the candidates, making
arrangement for the technical review and doing the background study of the candidate under

employee’s performance.
Under the working responsibility of preparing for induction and on-boarding process, I
need to give description of the policies, handling the offer letter and appointment letter,
assessing relevant document and introducing the candidate with the team members and
managers. The knowledge of networking will help me to identify the suitable team for the new
employees.
2.1.2 Reflect on the networking experiences
The two events that I have selected to explain the experience in networking is Annual
Job Fair conducted by our college and Annual College Fest. In the annual job fair, I have
assisted the human resource of our college to arrange the location of the fest, coordinating with
the HR executives of the companies that are interested to attend the job fair in our college and
handle all the databases for the students, who were interested to participate in the job fair. I have
gathered the experience of networking by developing relationship with the HR executives of
companies.
The second fest that I have attended was the annual fest that was organized in our
college. I was liable to manage all the supplier details along with the selection of the supplier. I
have to check the background details of the supplier and their potential so that I can select the
the responsibility of recruitment procedure. The concept of networking will help me to discuss
the organization scenario with the top management which will help me to identify the
organizational objectives, furthermore the networking also help me to enhance my
communication power with the employees that will help me to identify their need. Thus, I will be
able to align both the things to develop necessary policies and strategies that can improve
employee’s performance.

develop good communicational skills for developing relationship with different stakeholder and
the group of management personnel. The knowledge of the marketing management also helped
me in promoting the news of the events to the target audience. Moreover, the finance
management and cost management and accounting knowledge helped me in assessing the
developed budget plan to evaluate the efficiency of the outcome. Lastly, I want to say that the
knowledge in information system helped me a lot in past to maintain the database and knowledge
about technologies through which I can easily accomplish the desired task through automation
process.
2.2.2 Analysis of a professional qualification and explanation of the rationale
I have selected the course of technical skills course like Stakeholder Management
Course, Advanced level in Employment Law and Intermediate/advanced level in Leading,
Managing and Developing People. The main aim for stakeholder management course is to know
the basic of developing relationship among the stakeholders, using stakeholder register,
best resource for the fest. Moreover, I was also liable for preparing the invitation letter for the
fest for inviting the family members of the students and handling their details in the database.
The theories of networking helped me for communicating with the students and get the details
for the interested members for the fest.

The course of ‘Advanced level in Employment Law’ will help me to know about the legislation
related to employment status & contracts, discrimination and the law, risk in the employment

maternity and family leave. Lastly, the course for intermediate/advanced level in Leading,
Managing and Developing People will help me to known about resourcing and talent

the professional staffs and should have possess leadership skills. As a part of education, the
person should have Bachelor’s degree in human resource. Masters in same field is optional. The

verbal, demonstration of high level of teamwork sills and maintaining high degree of
