INTRODUCTION
Human resource life cycle is a concept of humans resources management which include
various stages of an employee in the organization from their recruitment to its termination. HR
department and its functions are more important in the organization in order to maintain proper
flow in the workplace environment (Cabot and etr.al., 2019). Managers & leaders have to ensure
all the activities perform in effective which enhance employees as well as organizational
performance in order to increase productivity or profitability. Along with this it further helps in
achieving business goals & objectives. For the better understanding of this concept, this report
select Thomas Cook Group hospitality sector company. It British travel organization founded in
19 June 2007 after merger of Thomas Cook & Son and MyTravel Global Plc. They globally
serve their services and its headquarter in UK.
This report cover various topics such as different stages of human resource life cycle
along with specific job role, evaluate its importance and make recommendations. Develop

important and they face various challenges in order to succeed business goals & objectives. By
using HR life cycle, organization able to add value or gain opportunity to enhance employees
skills and competencies which add value for the organization (HR life cycle, 2019). In context of
Thomas Cook, HR department planning to hire assistant manager for the marketing department
in order to enhance marketing activities. So HR department have to follow proper process in
order to hire skilled candidates for the role of assistant manager. There are four stages of HR life

role of assistant manager and it is discussed below:
Recruiting and On boarding: It is first step of employee life cycle where employee not
a part of the organization. It includes recruitment process where HR hire right person for
the right job. It is very important part or function of HR department for the development
of their business. Because skilled people helps in achieving business goals & objectives
by using their skills and other competencies. In the Thomas Cook, HR department have
to conduct hiring process for the role of assistant manager. There are some points which
