INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is an important part of the organization. It is an effective
process of managing people in the organisation. It helps to business in gaining competitive
advantage (Boon, Den Hartog and Lepak, 2019). Present study is based on the “Arcadia group”
is a multinational retailing company. The group has more than 2500 outlets in the UK. Study lays
emphasis on the purpose and functions of HRM in the organization. Report will show the
different approaches of recruitment and selection and strength and weakness of it. Study is
highlight the various HRM practices in organization and select one practice and define its
benefits for both employer and employee. It is also highlighted by how hr practices help to
improve productivity and profits.

HRM is the practices of recruiting, hiring, developing and managing an organisation
employees. It is important for the organization to handle the employees. The responsibilities of
