INTRODUCTION
Career Action Plan refers to the roadmap with the help of which an individual works and
achieves the goals and objectives that will provide shape to the career of an individual. It is an
essential part of growth and development not only at professional level but also at personal level
(De Vos and Cambré, 2017). The Job Title identified is Human Resource Manager which is the
most important role in an organisation as all employees in different departments are appointed by
this HR Manager only. So the decision of this individual will impact upon the working and
performance of complete organisation. There are many important skills which are needed in HR
Manager such as communication skills, decision making, multi-tasking, leadership, cooperative
and many more which will help in taking right decision for the betterment and growth of the
organisation.
MAIN BODY
Personal Analysis
As the HR Manager of Tesco Ltd, it is important for me to have some skills, knowledge
and experiences related to the field in which I am working so that it could become possible for
me to work efficiently and perform the tasks provided best in the interest of organisation. In
order to give Tesco with positive impacts of working, it is important for me to have some skills,
knowledge and experiences that will help me delivering the best performance in Tesco
(Starovoytova and Namango, 2016). So the description of current skills is discussed as under:
Communication Skills: From my perspective, it is one of the finest skills which I have.
With the help of this skill, it will be possible for me to understand properly communications
made in between me, employees and management in a well manner. This will make easier for me
to make my decisions for the benefit of organisation.
Creative Skills: According to the seminars attended by me, it can be said that I have
sound creative skills and I have a creative personality. With the help of this skill, I will be able
develop new and innovative ideas that will increase interest and dedication level of employees
working in the organisation so that they could perform their tasks as well with which they are
provided.
Leadership Skill: As per my experience in volunteering, it can be said that I have
effective leadership skills. And by making use of this skill in the organisation, I will be able to

lead employees in a manner which will neither abolish their interest nor the organisation's
interest. I will motivate employees to work for the achievements of goals and objectives of
organisation such as by making suitable policies related to rewards and schemes, working
environment policies and many more to bring positive impact on employees' performance.
Decision Making Skills: Along with leadership and creativity skills, I am effectively
able to make quick and profitable decision. This skill is important not only for me but in all
professions as well as in personal life. With the help of this skill, I will make favourable
decisions in times of critical situations as well.
Multi-Tasking: It can be said that I have multi-tasking skills as I can effectively manage
multiple tasks together. As the main purpose of HR Manager is to recruit employees for the
vacant posts in the organisation, but apart from this, there are few other tasks which HR has to
perform (De Woot, 2017). These tasks are conducting training and development programs, co-
curricular activities, implementation of policies and strategies and many more for the efficient
working of organisation and to make continuous improvement in the morale and dedication of
employees towards organisation as well as towards their job role also. So with the help of this
skill, I will be able to look over organisation on a broader area reducing deficiency in work and
performance of Tesco.
Knowledge and Experience
The knowledge which I currently have for the given gob profile is certificate of MBA in
HR. Along with this, I am also having an experience of 1 year and 6 months in ASDA, so with
the help of this experiences it will be possible for me to make use of past experiences to reduce
mistakes and make use of opportunities. As mere theoretical knowledge is not enough, practical
knowledge is also important (Donald, Baruch and Ashleigh, 2017). This knowledge and
experience will help in delivering good performance and work for the growth and development
of the organisation.

per view of audience my presentation is boring and not impressive for them. So I have to
improve this skill.
Along with this, there are also some improvements which are needed to make in my
application such as improvements in written communication (Bozionelos and et. al., 2016). It is
not possible to explain everything orally to all employees (Garcia, 2016). So for HR Manager,
the knowledge of written communication is must in which I am lacking behind. For example,
while communicating with some important information with all employees it becomes
impossible for me to make use of proper words and languages so that it could become possible
for them to understand and be clear with what I want to make them clear with.

In my application, I feel weak in the area of my organised skills. It is important for a HR
manager to have skills by which an HR manager can organise all the tasks to them. This
weakness of mine can create a negative impact on my application. Organisation skills are the
abilities by which a person can manage and arrange tasks. This weakness is due to my low
experience.
Career Action Plan
A career action plan is a plan of different goals which are required to be achieved
(Pathardikar, Sahu and Jaiswal, 2016). In my case, I want to develop my few skills and
knowledge & experience about them so that I can be an effective HR manager. Below are
