INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is defined as the function into firm which concentrates
upon the recruitment, as well as facilitating guidance and direction to individuals who are
working within organisation. Moreover, it deals with the problems associated to development of
firm, benefits, staff motivation, compensation and many others (Adie, 2019). The main aim of
this is to enhance the workers performance and manage the firm in order to attain their
objectives. To understand about HRM holdings has been taken that is semiconductor and
software company providing services to people. This report covers topics in relation to
importance of organisational design, recruitment to develop motivation, developed employees,
contemporary knowledge that support HR and relationship between organisational design and
change management.
Task 1
P1 Importance of organisational design
The design of organisation means number of employees, size and culture which helps to
run a business effectively and increase performance. Such as the design of ARM holding is large
and well designed where number of people are working and completing their task in certain
period of time (Wiltshier and Griffiths, 2019). The manager of HR department is playing key
role who evaluate needs and wants and provide services that can make happy to them and
increase business performance. In this, managers are using theories that are as defined:
Organisation design theory – This theory is used to know the design and bring
improvement in design that helps to manage the performance effectively. Its is stated as
framework which uses by company to run a business and maintain good structure which
activities can be perform by people effectively. In ARM holding a hierarchy structure is followed
by all where employees are responsible to report their superiors and get suggestions. The
manager of such organisation formulate policies and regulations which make happy to people
and maintain proper coordination among people. This supports to completion of task and
maintain effective design of their business (Elshaer, 2019)
Importance of design theory are as explained:
Dealing with contingencies: This refers as situation which can arise at any time at the
moment of working and impacts on business. Design helps to manage the activities and business

Motivation is provided by management in order to attracts, maintain and getting things
done in certain time. If employees are motivated then they can work effectively and manage the
performance which helps to improve the organisational effectiveness. In context to ARM holding
management are adopting different approaches and that are as as explained:
Context theory
Maslow theory: This theory is related to basis needs and wants which make feel them
happy and motivate to work. Management of Arm Holding uses this theory as:
Physical motivation: It involves basic needs such as air, water, shelter, food and sleep to
live which are provided by management of ARM Holding in order to motivate employees.
Safety needs: Once people have satisfied from basic need then they wants safety need which are
providing by managers in chosen organisation that helps to manage the activities and increase
business activities.
Social needs: This is another needs which is require to generate a feeling of being social
which make feel good to employees in relation to ARM holdings (Cunningham, 2019).
Esteem motivators: The management of ARM holding provide motivation by
recognising achievements and assigning projects effectively. If employees get esteem in front of
all then they work more.
Self actualisation: In this, employees of chosen organisation analysis their performance
by accepting challenges which helps to complete the task in certain period and motivates people
to work more.

P3 Contemporary knowledge to support HR developments
Organisation wants to increase their productivity and profitability with the help of
running a business and increasing activities. In ARM Holdings, HR managers is responsible to
coordinate with people and share informations so goals and objectives can be accomplished
effectively. In ARM holding people are using contemporary knowledge which supports HR
development that are as defined:
Adoption of artificial intelligence and new technology: This knowledge is introduced
by management of organisation who uses new technology such as artificial intelligence to
improve their activities. For instance, manager of ARM Holding use new technologies and
artificial intelligence to make micro processor and units with the help of employees that support
to HR development and activities efficiently (Van der Wagen and White, 2018).
Continuously uses of feedback – This is another knowledge that can support to HR
development such as to run a business employees are playing key role who understand their
responsibilities and perform activities according by giving feedbacks. The HR manager of ARM
holding get feedbacks from employees what should bring out to make the work effective and
improve business performance that supports to attain the business goals and objectives (Olsen
and Karanja, 2018).

To solve this problem management should use psychological that can helps to accept the
challenges and maintaining ethical behaviour between organisation. This increases organisational
productivity and performance so goals can be accomplished effectively and maintaining good
performance (Smith, 2017).
In organisation employees are working from long period and then they get expertise in
their work so they do not wants to accept any changes in working that gives results of low
productivity in ARM Holding and other organisation (Dixit, et. Al., 2019).
It is important for organisation accept the changes and new technology by ARM Holding
so, management are using transaction approach which is mainly used to accept the changes and
perform business accordingly that increases profitability and attainment of organisational goals
and objectives (McGuire, 2016).
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that HR is valuable for organisation who
identify needs of employees and make efforts to satisfied them which helps to improve the
organisational productivity. Human resources is the main function which is performed by
management for the purpose of attaining business goals and objectives. Different types of
changes and challenges are faced by organisation where HR is playing key role and provide
solution to reduce the conflicts.

ARM Holding managers are maintaining relationship by accepting changes in definite situation
