INTRODUCTION
The success of any organization is achieved with its potential and efficient employees. The
HR manager has to analyse the organizational need to train the employees using appropriate
tools and techniques. There are so many roles which HR plays for developing performance of
employees. High Town housing is a housing association which has been established in London,
United Kingdom. There is requirement of the continuous professional development plan as it
provides continuous level of competency in a particular profession. This makes an individual to
stay ahead in career through the improvement in skills. Report will highlight appropriate
knowledge skills, require by HR professional. It will also highlight skill audit and personal
development plan.

A. Appropriate knowledge, skills and attributes required to carry out for role of HR advisor.
Knowledge is a familiarity, awareness, or understanding of someone or something, such as
facts, information, descriptions, or skills, which is acquired through experience or education by
perceiving, discovering, or learning. Knowledge can refer to a theoretical or practical
understanding of a subject.
Skills - A skill is the ability to carry out a task with determined results often within a given
amount of efficiency. A British definition is "the ability to communicate effectively with people
in friendly way, especially in business."
Knowledge required as HR advisor
Knowledge is base on doing work which is required by HR advisor. The HR advisor is
should know about all the roles that are needed to be performed in Hightown Housing
Association. There should be ethical knowledge regarding company. Hightown housing
association HR advisor should know the ethics and principle on which company runs to make
employees understand the ethical principle that is needed to be performed by them. Employees
should not engage in misbehaving or low level work . They should have knowledge related to
technical and management skills. (Eling and Schaper., 2017). HR should have expertise in his
work as to handle all the situation. HR in Hightown housing association should have the
knowledge regarding the payroll along with various range of employee benefits in the varsity of
industries. Employees of organization faces problem as lack of motivation or inappropriate
behaviour from their superiors. HR manager must have knowledge to handle situation so that
reduction in employee retention. Hence , the HR advisor should have proper knowledge in areas
of employment law. Contact law and other employer and organization benefit law.
Skills required by HR advisor:
The skill of the HR advisor helps in identifying level of competencies which will help in
development of the Hightown Housing Association. Skills required by the HR advisors are
communication skills along with business awareness and the management skills. Communication
skills is important skill to deal with every situation such as recruitment and selection,need
identification and solving the issues through communication. (Khan and Quaddus., 2015). HR

needed by HR advisor is about IT, numeracy along with interpersonal skills in order to increase
the integrity and approachability of managers and staff to have proper discussion over sensitive
and confidential issues.
Attributes of HR advisor :
HR advisor have quality of fairness so that there is no employee baseness in Hightown
Housing Association. When HR don't work with fairness employee will feel demotivated.
Ability to display objective is also a quality which HR advisor must have because if HR will not

making then it will be called as individual learning. Organization learning on the other hand,
talks about what you learn to grow in organization like how to work with professionalism, how
to behave in an organization culture and this all things come under organization learning.(Aithal.,

For effective management, company is engaged in providing training and development to all
