INTRODUCTION
Pre placement evaluation is a process in which employer evaluate the skills, knowledge
and abilities of a person and on the basis of it candidate become eligible for placement. In this
report chosen organisation is Fariways HR Business Support & Recruitment Specialists and it is
from United Kingdom. There are various vacancies for the post of assistant HR executive so it
want to fill it by hiring suitable candidates. This report covers the various topics such as: self-
evaluation of students, evaluation of potential placement opportunities, theories of management
and organisational structure of workplace. Apart from this, it discuss about analysis of external
environment in context to work placement.
TASK 1
MAIN BODY
Self- Evaluation:
Placement is a process which help the company to get most suitable candidate who can
perform as per the needs of organisation.
My ability and achievements: I am able to communicate easily with other persons and I
am optimistic person. I have excellent communication and managing skills which help me in
maintaining coordination and I am able to convince the other persons easily. I got 95 percent at
12th class so I got appreciation certificate for that and according to me it is my achievement.
Previous experience: I have 2 months' experience in marketing company at summer
internship in the final year of graduation.
Discipline and work related preferences: I want organised structure in Fariways HR
Business Support & Recruitment Specialists so that communication of information can be fluent
and easy (Morrell and Ridgway, 2014).
Special support requirements:I need proper induction so that I can know about the
culture and working environment of organisation. It is essential for a new candidate to have
proper knowledge about the company in which it is going to work.
About personality: I am outing person and like to talk with various types of persons who
have have different nature so that I can know the behaviour of distinct people. It attracts me to
talk and meet with them. I am independent person because I do not want to live in boundaries
which restricts me to do something.

Fariways HR Business Support & Recruitment Specialists operating its business since
1984. It provides bespoke, HR business support & recruitment services, and expertise, skills,
knowledge and resources to deliver solutions to wide ranging customer base in Scotland with
emphasis on Perth & Kinross, Dundee, Tayside and Fife lactations. The mission of organisation
is: to provide complete recruitment & HR solutions and specialist HR business support services
through sound philosophies. As a scope company can hire candidates from various countries so
that it can get more skilful and knowledgeable persons from different countries (Liu and Zhang,
2012).
Nature of placement: Nature of placement is campus placement which is done by
Human resource manager of Fariways HR Business Support & Recruitment Specialists
Role and status regarding placements: The role is assistant HR executive at Fariways
HR Business Support & Recruitment Specialists and the candidate has engaged in operational
work of company.
Support of learning: Induction is need because it helps to know about the organisation,
its culture and environment. Training is also essential so that it can improve the efficiency and
productivity. It makes the perfection in the work because chances of errors can be minimize.
The culture of host institution: The culture of host institution is very good because they
support the individuals so that they feel comfortable. As a result, candidates can able to express
their views and ideas. It helps to maximize the efficiency of candidates because if they face any
difficultly than they can take the helps of other persons so that problem can be sort out (Legge,
2013).
2 ) Evaluate the organisational structure of the workplace
To follow the effective organisational structure is necessary so that persons can perform
their roles and duties effectively. It involves proper hierarchy and channel of communication
between persons and departments. It helps to analyse the power, role, and responsibility of
individuals and control the flow of information among various levels of management.

Organisational structure is depending upon the policies, strategies and goals of company. There
are mainly two types of organisational structure which are centralised or decentralised.
Fariways HR Business Support & Recruitment Specialists can develops its
organisational structure on the basis of company need and suitability. It makes the effective
communication and coordination between the employer and employee, management and
employee. Through it efficiency can be enhanced of workers and they are able to achieve the
goals and objectives of corporation. There are different types of organisational structure which
are described as below:
Functional structure: It is a hierarchical organisational structure in which those persons
who have specialised in same area they are grouped together. Functional manager of particular
department control and supervise the activities of persons in an organisation and manager should
be expert in the same field. It helps to maximize the ability, skills and efficiency of employees
because all persons perform their roles and duties under the supervision of functional manager. It
involves specific hierarchy of persons which includes: president, vice president, finance
department, marketing department, sales department, consumer care, administration etc.
Department head is responsible for the performance of workers who are related to their
department. It makes the effective control on the activity and performance of staffs. Fariways HR

can be maximize because all employees are grouped together on the basis of area of expertise. It
helps to improves the productivity of the company (Hoti and Hughes, 2014).
Divisional structure: Divisional structure is the manner of designing a company so that

strategies on the basis of several divisions. It is divided into various areas such as: product

suitable for the large companies. Different- different divisions are specialised in their particular
field and divisions can be make on the basis of market, service and product. It helps the
corporation to maximize efficiency and productivity and management can able to take decisions

suitable because it is not a large organisation and it has less divisions in the company.

Matrix structure: In matrix organisational structure there are two relations are
established means employees have to follow dual reporting relations. Workers have to report

manger as well as geographical manager. It is beneficial for a corporation because workers are

3 ) Analyse the external environment in which the work placement operates
External environment includes the outside factors which can influence the business
activities of the organisation. It is consist of two factors which are micro and macro environment
(External environment. 2018 ). Company cannot control the affect of these factors. PESTEL

Specialists can be affected by the external factors. PESTEL analysis is described as follows:
Political factors: Under this factor, an organisation can be influenced by the decision of
government. It involves taxation policy, trading policy, labour law etc. Fariways HR Business
Support & Recruitment Specialists can be affected by the decision of government if it change the
labour law and restrict the company that it can not hire employee from a specific country because
of bad relations with that nation. It can affect the organisation because it cannot recruit the
workers from that specific country and its business can get affected through it. As a result it
cannot hire the staffs from that nation at a lower wages.
Economic factors: An organisation can be influence from the economic factors of
nation. It includes inflation rate, disposable income, interest rate, unemployment rate etc. For

higher salary and if company does not pay more salary than they does not show their interest in
that particular organisation. It can hamper the operations of corporation because it is not able to

person can know that is enough capable for the placement or not. Training can help an individual
to enhance the skill, knowledge and abilities so that it can perform its roles and duties

environment corporation can protect its business from the negative affects. Management theories
