INTRODUCTION
In a business environment, there is high level of competition which determine both internal
and external factors and capabilities of an individual working in an organization (Akrofi, 2016).
Human resource is a wider concept that includes performance management, recruitment,
selection, training and development of employee so as to increase their knowledge base and
inculcate confidence among them. This report is based on Hightown Housing which is renowned
charitable association that aims to large group of individuals to buy homes at an affordable price.
It provides best comfort to their clients by establishing decent homes and leave a makeable
impact on the reputation of the firm (Swanwick and McKimm, 2017). This report comprises of
Knowledge, skills and behavior of employees in a workplace develop a professional
development plan in order to assess the quality of individuals. Also, it covers comparison of
training and development and individual and organization learning that promote a vast
opportunity in enhancing the overall growth. It includes High Performance working and
performance management so as to improve their performance.
Analyse the Knowledge, skill and behaviour that are required by HR professionals
Human Resource play an important role in an organisation as it inspires other with its
knowledge, skills and thus impress others with a good level of understanding and help in
accomplishment of task in a short span of time (Clarke and Higgs, 2016). In addition to this, with
its excellent communication skills, the HR manager assign duties and responsibilities among the
subordinates in according to their specialised skills so that they could work with greater potential
and zeal. Today in a changing era, the human resource manager adapts several changes in an
organisation so that it could combat the various external threats and thus focus on new trends that
shape a better success in a firm. Skills are very essential that determine the capabilities and
enhance the knowledge base of subordinates.
The HR manager of Hightown Housing emphasise on respect others with dignity and provide
cost effective services to their customers and it has provided employment opportunities to
approximately 800 staff who work with efficiency so as to achieve a desirable outcome.
Furthermore, the respective firm face several ethical challenges in their day to day operations so
as to generate a high level of goodwill across the globe and thus increase a sense of trust and
loyalty among the group of individuals (Coetzer, Bussin and Geldenhuys, 2017). With new

innovations and ideas, it provides an effective solution to their clients and thus boost their
confidence and determination. The manager of concerned firm renders training and development
of this staff so as to increase their efficiency and effectiveness and inculcate trust and confidence
among them and also make them capable of handling several challenges and technical issues
(Seidle, Fernandez and Perry, 2016). In relation to this, various factors such as team work, ethics,
problem solving skills help in contributing towards the success of an organisation and thus
promote growth opportunities in future.
Another most crucial aspect that is essential for an individual to have great knowledge
about the respective job position especially HR advisor in Hightown housing so that they could
deal with daily issues by providing an effective solution to their clients and thus deal with several
issues while conducting several operations of a business (Eaidgah and et.al., 2016). Time
management and proper discipline is very necessary at a workplace as it help in focusing towards
the goal and ensure a great success and also the manager direct and control the activities of
employees in an efficient manner so that they could perform better and provide a good working
atmosphere in a workplace. Another most important aspect is that the manager of respective firm
should be self-motivated and provide proper guidance to their staff so as to avoid conflict and
misunderstanding among them. The HR manager of Hightown housing ensure multitasking
among their staff as it help in overcoming several problems and thus provide growth and
productivity. All such skills are essential when an individual applied for suitable job position as
provide vast opportunities, growth and help to retain staff for a longer time.

The role which is assigned to me is of Human resource Adviser as I have good computer

providing best solution to clients. Most challenging part is to handle conflicts among staff by

excellent communication skills in according to my post as it enhances the greater productivity
and ensure greater success in future. In addition to this, I should develop problem solving skills
so as to cope up with pressure and should be calm and patient so as to handle the grievances of
employees in a predetermined manner.

Learning and development both play an important role in an organisation as it helps in
performing the task in an appropriate period of time and also help in improving the overall
performance by achieving individual and organisational objectives of a company.
