INTRODUCTION
Development is necessary for everyone because by it, an individual, team and
organisational are able to attain their goal and objective in an effective manner along with this
they also able to identify opportunities. Along with this, an organization need to develop
themselves on regular basis so that they can grow and improve knowledge of team which also
leads to enhancement of individuals, skills and knowledge in effective manner (Blandford,
2012). Organisation taken for this report is High town Housing Association, which was
established in year 1960 and registered on 19th July 1967. It is a charitable housing association
which is operating its operations and functions across Ireland and United Kingdom. Topics
covered in this assignment are knowledge, skills and behaviour which are required by HR
professionals as well as it include factors which must be considered while implementing learning
and development. Moreover, it includes knowledge and understanding which are required for
HPW and various factors which help in enhancing organisation situation.

P1 Determine appropriate and professional knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required by
HR professionals
High Town Housing Association is charitable housing association and it is necessary for
their HR manager to improve their skills and knowledge so that they can understand
requirements and need of organisation as well as employees. This will also help them in
identifying and grabbing their career opportunities in effective manner (Belbin, 2012). If HR
professional or any other employees enhance their knowledge on timely manner then they will be
able to accomplish work in effective manner as well as able to stay at particular work for a long
time. There are several skills and knowledge which are required by an individual if they want to
become HR Professional of High town Housing Association, some major skills, behaviour and
knowledge are mentioned below:-
Skills: It is one of the essential requirement when a person desire to develop their career
as a HR professionals. Degree and skills of a person is equally important when a person
want to develop themselves as a HR professional. Necessary skills which are required by
High town Housing Association's HR professionals are good communication and
understanding skills so that they can communicate all essential information in appropriate

in developing strategies and plans. Along with this they also required good skill of

being a HR professionals an individual required to conduct Masters In Business
administration during which they practical as well as theoretical knowledge. In respect of
High town Housing Association their hire those individual as a post of HR manager who
have various knowledge such as related to policies, HR terms, rules and regulation, work
process and many more.
Behaviour: It refers to behaviour of a person in front of some other individual or in
particular situation or condition. This is so because a professional person need to behave
in effective manner and according to the situation so that they can handle situation in
appropriate and effective way. HR manager of High town Housing Association are very
knowledgable and skilled as well as they also know how to behave in effective manner in
particular situation. Along with this they know that they have to treat every employees
equally so that they feel motivated and connected.
So it is essential for an individual to improve their KSB (Knowledge,Skills and
Behaviour) which help in developing their career as a Human resource professionals.

behaviour (Anagnostopoulos, Byers and Shilbury, 2014). HR manager of High town Housing
Association conduct analysis of their strength and weakness by evaluating their KSB factors. By

Being a HR profession of High town Housing Association I conduct evaluation of my
strength and weakness. So that I can improve it in effective manner by taking training and
development programmes. Evaluation of this my strength as well as weakness are given below:-

conducting work in effective manner in order to attain goal in successful manner. A person can
learn new things from various ways such as themselves, through organizational learning as well
as through training and development. Along with this an individual learn many things from its
experiences and mistakes which help them in conduct work in more appropriate manner at future
time. Explanation of major resources which are can be adopted by staffs of High town Housing
Association are mentioned below:-
