The interview with the two candidates namely Reita Faria and Samiya Johns has
revealed many other facts which were not written in the resumes of the candidates. Both of
these two applicants have potential to serve as the HR advisor position in the university but
Samiya seems to be more confident than Reita. This is due to the fact Reita has been
suffering from psychological issues in matching the Australian culture due to her recent
migration from Sudan. She is able to identify the lack of understanding of HR management
system in a university. On the other hand Samiya expects this job as she has perfect
understanding of the HR management in the university therefore can access different systems
of the HR technology.
Reita Faria seems to be more authoritative in getting things done but Samiya has the
knowledge of how to tackle the employees working in the educational factor. The knowledge
of the diverse culture in the workplace is seen in the communication of Samiya which is not
seen in Reita as she needs more time to gain this type of knowledge.
