Executive Summary
The report deal with case study of Shangri La Hospital that is situated in London. The hospital is
to be built up and the testing of the equipment is to be done. For that reason Human resource
team of the hospital is to be recruited from all over the world so that they can join the hospital
from the inauguration date. The management has been decided to recruit new staff for the new

Chapter 1: Introduction
A hospital Shangri La Hospital is to be constructed in London that will be inaugurated in
the 2021 in 1st April. The construction process, the supply of materials as well as testing of the
equipment. All these activities are to be completed within February. The CEO of the hospital
wanted to select and recruit a team for human resource for the new hospital. The recruitment
process that has been decided for the Human resource team for the hospital would be employed
from all over the world so that they can get qualified personnel for the job.
This report includes substantial business project that consist of the time taken to complete
the recruitment process of qualified personnel for the human resource department (HRM) of the
hospital. The business project includes the total cost of completing the recruitment process and
includes quality parameters that helps in recruitment process. This project helps to break down
the recruitment process in logical work so that the process gets completed in the specified time.
This project also includes Microsoft project for completing the time schedule for the recruitment
process. This project also defines the need of MS Project in scheduling a particular project. The
resources and the total budget for completing the project is also explained in this report in
detailed. The budget that is included in this report includes bottom up approach that is to be
approved by project manager from the CEO of the company so that the project is gets approved.

Success criteria of the project- Project success criteria for the project are recruiting
qualified personnel for human resource management for the hospital. The recruitment process is
done in two stages; one is selection phases and the other is training phase. Success criteria of this
project mainly depends on completing both the phases of the project successfully. Project
selection method of the project should be complete with the schedule time and the training
process should be done properly so that the personnel gets proper training about how to
management the human resource department of the hospital. In selection process, the project
selection of the personnel through online exams are to be conducted fairly so that qualified
personnel are selected for training.
Resource Planning- The resource planning in the project includes allocating project
resource for all the activities in the project. The project resources will be responsible in
completing the project (Nicholas and Steyn 2017). Particular resources will be allocated to
particular activities and they will have the responsibility in completing the project activities
within the allocated time to complete that activity. There are level of resources and the level of
resources specifies the exact quantities of human resource, equipment and materials that are
needed in completing the undertaken project.
For resource planning the pre-requisites for the project are to be defined that stated the
work breakdown structure of project. The WBS of project schedule helps to view the project in
manageable sections and team will be able to complete the project easily. The resource planning

also includes estimated duration of time and helps in finding proper team members with skills to
complete the project (Lock 2017). Resource planning also need expert judgment so that resource
assigned or selected will not be rejected at project progress. Resource planning helps to resolve
the planning conflicts after allocating the resources. The detailed resource planning of the project
defined in the chapter 4 section of this report.
Budget Planning- Budgeting in a project helps in creating a detailed plan of the total
amount of money that the project sponsors will spend to complete the project. The spending of
money in the project known as budget (Eskerod and Jepsen 2016). The budget plan allows the
project manager to determine the budget plan in advance so that there is no shortage of money at
the end of project. The budget planning will help to save enough money for all things you need
to complete the project. The total cost for the selection and recruitment project is £1,123,160. A
detailed project budget is stated in the chapter 5 of this report.
Project Timeline- Project timeline is considered to be as the lifeline of a project. This
helps in capturing the accomplishment of project. It is one of the skill of the project manager to
create a proper project timeline and it is expected to create the project timeline prior to starting of
the project. The project timeline is highly detailed time frame consisting of tasks and subtasks.
This includes deliverables of the project and the deadlines of the project (Binder 2016). The
project timeline states the list of tasks, the dates when the task will start and finishing date of the
tasks, the expected duration of the project and the dependencies between all the activities in the
project. As per the time schedule defined in chapter 3 of this report, the total duration of
completing the recruitment and selection process is 304 days.
Project Risk Planning- The risk in a project might be uncertain and it is the condition
that might affect the completing of the project. In project risk states that a simple activity in the

project can turn to unexpected problem and that might risk the outcome of the project risks. The
risks in a project can be an event o can be a condition (Turner 2016). There are several reasons
for which risk might occur in a project. Those are
Changing the circumstances, updates as well as new developments for the project.
Includes detailed collaboration and includes refinement for overall planning for project.
Changing the scope and time of the project.
Changing the project documentation of the project that includes project charter.

MS Project- To develop the project schedule, MS Project is used for completing a
project. This application is mainly designed for assisting the project managers so that to develop
the plan as well as assigning the resources to all the tasks (Marchewka 2016). The MS project is
also used for tracking the project progress and manage the budgets and the resources assigned for
the project. This application helps to create critical path for the project. The MS project schedule
for developing the project of recruiting people and selecting qualified personnel for the human
resource team would help to define resources that are included in the project (Harrison and Lock
2017). This application allocates resource for all the activities and sub activities that are included
in the project and those can be shared among the management personnel so that the team could
be managed properly and efficiently.
