INTRODUCTION
Development and Growth of an organisation depends upon the context of an
organisation. For an individual human, development is a continuous learning process in which
different types of challenges comes in life of a human in the form of behavioural, emotional and
physical. The process of thought in any person is unique and due to which way of making
decision is also different. So it is necessary to develop an individual,team and organisation so
that they can make their work productive and which can give benefit to both a person and an
organisation. The current report is based up upon the company known as whirlpool corporation,
which is an American multinational company famous for making home appliances .In the below
report we would analyse different behaviour,skills and knowledge required by an HR and various
techniques through which they can contribute to company as well as employee.

P1 Knowledge,skill and behaviour required by HR
Efficient worker or are always needed in an organisation for growth in the future period.
Effective workers also helps in increasing profitability and productivity of organisation. So there
is very important role of HR Manager during recruitment and selection new employee. They
should consider skill, talent while making the proper selection. While there are several skills
which are needed by HR professional of whirlpool’s to gain the high performance and
commitment towards there work. In this case HR Professional of whirlpool is required to
present a report at annual Confederation of British Industry workshop regarding an effective
performance management.
Professional knowledge
Training and Development- It is necessary that HR manager should have the proper
knowledge about the training and development programmes. These are helpful in enhance
knowledge as well as skill base of employees at workplace. It aids in enhancing performance
level of staff members.
Contract law- The HR manager should know about the legislations. Under this law, there
is a contract made between the company and candidate. HR manager should ensure that all the
rules and regulations should be mention on that contract and candidate should be agree on this.

Government rules and regulations- A government is an authority or group of people
selected by different people living in a country and they have power to rule the region is
considered as government. Rules and regulation are made by government so that they can
provide the right way possible to do work and can also provide stable environment, where a
human and a company can work in a peaceful manner. In whirlpool HR professional should
have knowledge of the rules and regulation made by government which can make impact on the
work in progress of the company. So that HR can effectively implement those rules to structure
of organisation which helps then to run the organisation effectively.
Taxation-The Money paid by workers and organisation to the government is knowns as
tax or it is a compulsory charge made by government on the taxpayer, through which funding
can be done for public expenditure. In whirlpool the knowledge of taxation system is very much
needed for the HR professional as they makes payroll for different employee and their
responsibility is to manage tax report for client and worker in organisation, so a decent amount
of knowledge is required for HR professional about the taxation policy of government.
Skills
Conflict management- The process of reducing and resisting the negative prospect
between the conversation and issue raised while working in an organisation is known as
management of conflict. This could be arises due to t difference of opinion between two or more
people or due to difference of nature among the different personalities. In whirlpool HR
Professional are required to solve human issues raised in the healthy working environment,
issues can be related to ethics, culture and religion of different people.
Effective communication- The act of conveying a message to the receiver is
communication but without any error or fault in an productive manner is considered as effective
communication. This behaviour skill helps HR professional of whirlpool is making negotiation
and helps in managing the basic functions of management.
Decision making-The selection of suitable decision among the various choices or
alternatives is considered as decision making. It is the complex process while making the
effective choice between the various choices , so it requires decent amount of experience and
strategy to make a best possible decision. In whirlpool the HR professional are required to have
this skill as a must because while hiring and recruiting an employee in a company this skill is

well as employees confidential.
Ethical behaviour- To do something in a consistent way through which an particular
person and society admire the values of behaviour are known as ethics. In whirlpool the HR
professional should interact with different employee regarding their question and issue this
shows the ethical behaviour of HR.

Individual learning-The type of learning which is based upon content, and technology
and ability of a learner to learn with interest in considered as individual learning. In whirlpool
the HR professional have knowledge about the training process and this helps if improving there
skill and knowledge about self learning, this helps in developing personally as an individual.
Organisational learning- The learning process in which company gain the knowledge
regarding the overall new environment, objective and various process used in it for example the
new introduction of software in the in the MIS system of whirlpool the each and every member
of management have to learn that software for proper working of operation then this type of
