Introduction
Career view point can be defined as the perspective and interest level of an individual in a
relevant field which has been chosen and decided by him to pursue future within. Before getting
enrolled in a course of University an Individual decides which profession or job is best suitable
for him as per the abilities, capabilities and interest level and took over course to build up skills
and knowledge (Lent and Brown, 2019). After completion of course an individual look for a best
suitable option which matches their skill set and knowledge to work in future. The chosen
profession from the previous report is HR in education industry which is being selected as per
analysing the trends and need for retaining talented faculty members for the development of
education in a nation. The below mentioned report covers the personal analysis of skills,
knowledge and experience required to perform well as a HR in education industry and
development of an action plan for the improving the aspects which need improvement.
Personal Analysis
Personal analysis is getting an insight of one’s own skills, knowledge and competencies
required to perform well in a job and overall professional development through sharpening those
skills while working in a relevant job position. There are several skills required by HR
professionals in teaching industry to work which are as communication skills, relationship
building, adaptability skills, technological skills and critical thinking. Based on the skills a
detailed analysis of one’s strengths and weakness is highlighted along with areas of opportunity
and skills need to be developed (Zacher and et. al., 2019).
Strengths : As per the analysis of current trends and impact of human resource profession
over teaching industry it has been revealed that communication skills is the most essential
skill required to perform well in the job. Based on the analysis I have identified that my
communication skills are good and are of exceptional quality that will help me in
performing the job role in an efficient and effective manner. Good communication skills
have always enabled me to better connect and represent myself in front of others.
Communication skills comes itself with set of different advantages such as increased
confidence level, active listening and good understanding of views and expression of
others. Before being a good communicator I have always focused to be good listener
because that help me in better understanding the message and view point of a

communicator converting me into an empathetic person. Apart from that, having good
command over English and tactics to represent information, I have always presented the
information which is precise, unambiguous and clear which helps the receiver in
understanding the message with the same intention the way it is sent. Apart from this I
am good critical thinker which have always helped me to reach a conclusion which is
effective and free from biasness. Critical thinking have always helped me think beyond
the boundaries which in turn give rise to creativity and innovation.
Weakness: Another significant skills which add more value to the job of HR in teaching
industry is technological skills or ICT skills which is imperative for each and every
individual to have while working in a competitive environment (LaCourse, John-Stewart
and Adams Waldorf, 2020). Technological revolution have given rise to the adoption new
technology which have made the work easier and convenient for working professional
than before. I have analysed that I am falling back in ICT skills which is essential for HR
professional as there are several task that need to be done on computer such as
maintaining records of present workforce, salary and benefits, payroll activities,
attendance report, designing of training and development programmes, settling employee
termination etc. Apart from this, Adaptability skills have proven to be major weakness in
my set of skills which is defined as the capabilities and abilities to quickly respond to the
changes in an environment through learning new skills and tactics. My rigid and complex
behaviour will be a biggest obstacle in my personal and professional career. In order to
have a competitive advantage and grow in my career path I have to work closely on my
technological skills to be relevant and updated with the recent changes in the market. Opportunities: As discussed above, few of my strengths are critical thinking and good
communications skills. My ability to communicate and listening well can help me having
competitive edge over other and can open a wide array of opportunities for work. As it is
evident that strong communication skills will enable me to communicate well the
employees (teachers) and students of an educational institute without any communication
gap and misunderstanding (Park and et. al., 2020). With good speaking abilities I can
ensure that the policies and norms of a teaching industry are clearly understood by the
employees making an easier for both management and employees to work well as per the
set guidelines and standards. My good presentation skills, right selection of words,

appropriate tone of speech while speaking helps me in establishing good relations with
the employees that in turn help in guiding and inspiring others towards the common
objective, which are a clear sign of good leaders. Threats: There are few skills if not worked properly can hinder or may result in sluggish
performance towards success and growth. As I mentioned above, one of my weakness is
poor ICT skills which may affects the competitiveness in a professional world (Carrico,
Matusovich and Paretti, 2019). In order to keep a pace with technological changes and be
relevant in an industry it is imperative for me to have good command over computer with
some basic knowledge such a Tally, Microsoft office, use of internet etc. Based on my
adaptability skills I should be well acquainted with the basic knowledge of ICT skills
which will add a more value for me in a professional career and help me delivering work
based on quality and productivity.
