Introduction
Human resources refer to illustration of description of formal system which is devised for
management of people within organization. The responsibilities of HRM comprises of hiring,
recruiting, deploying and managing (Aluttis, Bishaw and Frank, 2014). For being an HR
professional it is necessary for an individual to possess various skills by which the
responsibilities can be accomplished. It is essential for an individual have knowledge of field in
which they want their career as this will assist them to a little bit awareness about their roles as
well as responsibilities which they can develop themselves accordingly. The skills which are
possessed by individual acts as an tool through which they can stand out which critical situation
arises within workplace and they can be handled by making use of knowledge which they have
gained through their entire journey. They need to continuously develop themselves and attain
new skills which will help them to remain competitive. This report deals with personal analysis,
means a detailed analysis about skills which are being acquired by an individual to be successful
in career. Career action plan is formulated which will acknowledge personal development to
have a desired goal. A CV is presented for a post of an HR.
Personal Analysis
The HR professional needs to acquire different skills, abilities and knowledge which are
necessary for accomplishing every aspect associated with this profile so that roles and
responsibilities can be attained (Bohnenkamp, Stephan and Bobo, 2015). It is necessary for me (a
graduate) to identify skills which are being possessed by me so that I can have growing career as
an HR. Therefore, it is crucial for an individual to acknowledge the capabilities and put an extra
effort so that a job can be attained in the field of HR. The skills which are possessed by me are
presented below:
Skills: HR professional needs to have trenchant communication skills, this includes
listening, writing and speaking so that responsibilities can be carried out in appropriate manner. I
think I do have good communication skills which makes me different from others. I have the
ability to listen to others and understand their viewpoint, this helps me to analyse the entire
situations as the views of others. As an individual it is necessary to listen to what other person is
trying to speak rather than coming to an conclusion. Similarly speaking and writing skills are
important. For an HR it is necessary to have healthy relationship with all employees so that work

can be carried out the require manner. Ups and downs may come in every organization
depending on the situations which are prevailing within market as well as due alteration in
government policies and procedures. In this situation a person needs to have patience and must
be motivated by which they will be able to handle any kind of situation.
Another skill which is essential is critical thinking (Crawford, and et. al, 2015), by this I
can find out alternative solution by analyzing strengths and drawbacks associated with existing
condition. This will help me to formulate the decisions by considering logical and practical
aspects associated with the same. This means that decision making skills are also necessary so
that I would be able take decision for the betterment of both employees and organization.
Furthermore, I also have presentation skills through which I am able to express myself in front of
the people and also know the manner in which I have to behave with others. This will assist me
to deal with different people who have different personalities.
For being a successful HR professional it is necessary to possess adequate knowledge
with respect to various things. They include legislations and regulations, administration
&management and personnel. This means that I have to formulate strategies through which I can
carry out my responsibilities in required manner thereby rendering services to organization. By
following certain laws and regulations, it will assist organization from falling into any legal
trouble. Apart from this, it is crucial to acquire knowledge related with business management
principles as they aids in managing the responsibilities of other personals who are active part of
an organization. By making effective use resources, strategic planning, production method and
coordination among people, organizational goals can be met. For having a bright future in field
of HR it is mandatory to have 3 month internship from some reputed organization as well as
have 3to 4 years of experience in the same field.
SWOT analysis is used to analyse my own skills learning styles and abilities. This tool is
also used to analyse my weaknesses and threats while working to enhance my skills.
