INTRODUCTION
In the current scenario of corporate and business industry, it has become extremely significant
for the individuals and organisation to focus upon the effective development of their skills and
knowledge (Super, 2020). It is essential for the individuals to enhance their competency and
skills set in order to meet the global requirements and to facilitate the realisation of personal as
well as organisation goals. The proposed report highlight upon the knowledge and behaviours
required by HR professional in order to lead productive operations in ASDA organisation. It also
encompasses a personal skill audit as well as professional development plan for facilitating
excellence in the job role of human resource manager.

Human Resource is a sub section of management process that requires the professionals engaged
in the same to possess competent knowledge and skills regarding the concept of Human resource
management and the application of the same. The Kills and knowledge required by the HR
professionals of ASDA are as follows :-
Leadership Skills
In order to facilitate the management of the workforce, it is very essential for HR professionals
to develop leadership skills in order to guide and influence the behaviours of the individuals in
the firm (Sablis,Smite and Moe,2020). Leadership can considered to be a characteristic that
enables to guide the employees in the right direction so as to achieve the organisational goals.
Decision Making Skills
HR professional needs to formulate a variety of appropriate decisions in various situational
contexts such as hiring of individuals, determining the pay scale, employee motivation tactics,
compensation and rewards etc. Hence, it is important for the HR professionals to take accurate
decisions at the right time in order to alleviate the functioning of ASDA organisation.
