There are various skills that should be possessed by the HR as it can help at the time of
conducting the activities of the company. The skills that should be possessed by the HR
Practitioner are: Critical thinking skills, Leadership skills, Communication skill and Business
management skill.
HR practitioner should have proper thinking skills so that they can justify the overall
policies, plan, and strategies of the company. If they are not thinking in a proper manner and do
not have critical thinking skill then it can be difficult to manage the activities. They should have
the ability to elaborate the plans and strategies with the employees and take their views so that
plans and strategies that are implemented can achieve success and growth. Plans and strategies
can only be successful in the company if they are discussed with the employees (Rothwell,
Hohne & King, 2018). Therefore, HR practitioner should have the skill of critical thinking so
that they can convey the message in a proper way by taking the acceptance from the employees
as well.
Next skill that should be possessed by HR practitioner is leadership skill. It is considered
as a basic consensus of creating and managing the activities of the company. By having proper
leadership qualities or skills the plans and strategies can be justified effectively. Leaders give
direction to the employees and by giving proper guidance and support it can be easy for them to
manage the strategies and plans in a proper manner. If they do not give direction then employees
will face difficulty at the time of considering the plans and strategies given management (Bratton

the strategies and plans (Armstrong & Taylor, 2014).
