AI Summary
This report provides a comprehensive analysis of managing human resources in the health and social care (H&SC) sector. It begins by examining the factors crucial for planning the recruitment of individuals, emphasizing the importance of identifying strengths and suitability for the role. The report discusses how legislative and policy frameworks influence recruitment, selection, and employment practices within the home country, highlighting the role of principal acts, regulations, and codes of practice. Different approaches to ensure the selection of the best individuals are evaluated, including open and closed selection methods, as well as formal and informal processes. Furthermore, the report explores theories of individual interaction in groups, particularly Tuckman's stages of group development (forming, storming, norming, and performing), in relation to team dynamics in H&SC. Strategies for developing effective teamwork are assessed, focusing on communication, conflict resolution, and shared goals. The document also addresses the monitoring of individual performance, the identification of training and development needs, and strategies for promoting continuous professional development. Finally, it delves into leadership theories applicable to the H&SC workplace, analyzes the management of working relationships, and evaluates the influence of management approaches on personal development.

The process of recruitment of individual is to identify the strength of the people along with the
suitability of work. The recruitment process is considered by the human resource to find the

vacancy in the HSC or no of post and position it also requires the experience or fresher. The
aspect of the organisation is to hire the better resource for the HSC so that the proper functioning
of the work can be done by the individual.
The proper planning is one of the most important factors as it will be easy to analysis the
individual for the HSC organisation. The human resource must provide the policies, rules or
regulations, structure of the recruitment all these factors need to understand by the human
resource. For the better recruitment of the individual the qualification must to check the
qualification and experience of the interviewer so that human resource can hire the appropriate
individual for the position. The main focus of the recruitment must be on the communication
because the individual has to communicate between the patients as it has to understand the
problem of the patient (Cascio, 2018).
The human resource has to hire the individual for the domiciliary care under which in case if the
patient do not want to do the treatment in the hospital the facilities can be provided at home so

1.2 Explain how relevant legislative and policy frameworks of the home country influence the
selection, recruitment and employment of individuals
For the recruitment of the individual in the organisation the legislative policies is under defined
for the framework of the selection, recruitment and employment. The implementation of the
policies in the organisation may help the HSC organisation to work in the systematic way by
following the policies of the organisation (Brett et.al 2014).
The legislative policies that have to follow by the human resource are like representing the act,
regulation, codes of practices and providing the guidance. The framework is used to manage the
system in the organised and well manner so that the individual does not face any issue in the
organisation. The legal policies involve the rule and regulation for the particular organisation
along with the critical documentation format. The research has been identified that different
organisation has the different policies that help in the arrangement of the proper functioning of
the work of individual and other departmental processing. The framework of the legislative
policies are explained below that was implemented by the organisation.

Legislature Principal Act: For the management of the organisation the principal act has been
established in the industries for the implementation of the rules and regulation. The act is
cleared for the employees of the organisation under this act the conflicts, problems, issue that are
occur in the organisation against the employees can be resolve. The employee regulated the law
so that the conflicts can be reducing among the employees of the organisation.
Regulation made under Acts: The establishment of the regulation in the organisation help the
manager as well as the employees to follow the rules and regulation that has been mentioned in
the legislature policies. The regulations that are made for the legal policies is useful for the
employees those are working in the organisation.
Code of Practices: The implementation of the rules and practices in the organisation will help
the employees to act on the rule or regulation that are assigned by the organisation to the
employees.
International Standards: The policies that are assigned to the organisation was included of the
international standard for the employees as the policies are strongly manage by the human
resources to avoid the conflict of the legislature.
Industrial Standards: The policies that are frame for the organisation are based on the industrial
facts and figure so that it can be implementing according to that. The policies that are manage or
organised by the legislature are of different types.
Technical Guidance: The human resource must provide the support in case of any of the issue
occur by the employees in the organisation. The policies mentioned that the technical guidance
must be requiring to the individual so that they does not face any issue in the HSC organisation.
Policies and practices: It is sometime difficult for the individuals to understand about the

for work in health and social care
For the selection of the better individual the organisation can give the advertisement in the
newspaper or by taking the follow up with the recruitment consultant to find the appropriate
individual for the job. The HSC organisation can make the selection process by providing the
submission form of the HSC for recruitment and can inform the individual to mail the CV to the
organisation mail Id. The human resource can check the mail and can easily find out the
appropriate individuals. The methods that can be followed by the organisation for the selection
of the individual are given below:
Table 2: Selction method

The selections of the candidate were
informed at headquarters.

during the conduction of the interview.

on the review of the performance.

selection is done.
The term and condition of the selection of the individual are different and varies with the
organisation performance and the human resource. The selection of the individual is not fix to
appoint but the HR need to identify the requirement of the organisation according to the post and
position for which the individual are hiring (LaMontagne et.al 2014).

Task 2: LO2
2.1 Explain theories of how individuals interact in groups in relation to the types of teams that
work in health and social care
The theories that are given by the most famous person in (1965) Tuckman under this interaction
are divided into the four phase that are forming, storming, norming and performing. The below
figure will to understand more about the theory:
Figure 2: Building Team and theories
(Source: Self created)
Forming: The forming in the theory refers to the formation of building the strong
communication among the team. Under this the opportunities and various challenges are faces by
the individual to learn more and the overall guidance is managed by the manager of the
organisation. The forming helps in the building of the strong relationship between the worker by
sharing the information from person to person to build the team work or make the strong tem
