Industry partner My industrial partner in the project is EAST END HIRE, a company situated in
Melbourne market is dedicated on serving its customers with transportation
facilities like forklifts and scooters to load and unloading their goods that they
purchase from the market place. The goods generally consist of fruits and
vegetables. The size of the company is small with only 80 employees working in
it. I am working in market authority of Melbourne in EPPING and associate with
EAST END HIRE as Human Resource Analyst. The company is working on the
small scale in Melbourne Market and aspires to expand number of employees and
drivers of scooters and forklifts for which they need to implement effective
training and development program for its current and future employees for
generating employee retention and that is my major area of concern.
Research field The research field of this project would be human resource management with
more emphasis of training and development of employees so that they could
provide customers with appropriate services and work with the expectation of
personal and organization’s growth.
Overarching
problem
EASTEND HIRE is a small-scale company and have mixture of brilliantly
performing, average performing and underperforming employees which the
company cannot afford to take lightly as they are targeting to expand their
business successfully. Therefore, the major problem company is facing is to
manage performance of its employees as without it the company would not be
able to achieve its timely objectives. The problem can be solved by practicing
necessary terminations and effective hiring along with proper communication
about objectives and goals of company amongst higher management and
company’s employees. The other major problem the company is facing is in
finding ways to develop its employee’s potential as without it the growth of the
company will always be stagnant. Moreover, the biggest problem is lack of
awareness and sincerity of employees towards their engagement in their job.
It is important for the company to address and solve this problem as a lack of
sincerity and lack of skills could be big hindrance for the whole company and
