Issues of Absenteeism
The issues associated with the absenteeism of employees are not limited to workers and
consequences are far reaching (Andrew, 2017). As an employee within the DynCrop I have
realized that it affects the finances, productivity, and morale within the workplace.
Poor performance
Absenteeism on continue basis unable the employees to finish work within the given deadline.
This impedes the capabilities of employees to complete the project. This bleeds over within the
other departments.
Limited potential of growth
Organizations expects from employees to regularly grow within the capabilities and expertise. If
employees miss the work on continue basis than not become capable to learn new skills and
work and lose the opportunities at high level.
Strife among employees
Regular absenteeism leads to tension and cause the poor relations of working regarding future
projects within employees. This also led to regularly missing the work without repercussions.
Training programs
There are many programs can be implemented to minimize the absenteeism of employees
(Forsey, 2020). As discussed with the classmate I will run the following programs to improve the
employee’s engagement and satisfaction which minimize the absenteeism of employees.
Wellness programs
This will help the employees to mitigate the health related absence while instantaneously lower
the cost of health care and minimize the stress of employees. It will improve the workplace
morale, culture, and productivity.
