Human resource can be considered s the combination of various activities which are
associated by the human resource management as to managing, controlling, staffing and
direction organisational all activities in effective and efficient manner. In this modern and
competitive each business organisation is concern on implementing management operations and
function as to enhancing the skills and knowledge of learners in respect to attaining
organisational goals and objectives in appropriate manner (Armstrong and Taylor, 2014). Human

decreeing and training is involved. In the resent report Tesco Plc is a chosen organisation, it is s
British multination retail company. Tesco Plc deals in variety of products and services at market
place as to satisfying the needs and wants of people. This report contents the study about the
role and responsibility of Human Resource Manager, their purpose, function, the benefits of
HRM practices, Effectiveness of HRM in enhancing organisational performance, various key
elements of legislation acts of employees and various applications of HRM will be discussed in
detailed manner.

skills to manage organisational operations at work place. Manager performs various key role and
responsibility that are essential in maximizing employees ability and knowledge about the
activities which are conducted at work place. In an organisation manager is the fundamental key
of firm who is responsible for managing each and every task and activity at work place. The
major purpose of HRM is to retain employees for long time as to aching organisational desired
goals and objectives in effective way. Human resource refers as the most effective part of firm as
employees and workers are contributing their vast efforts in growth and development of firm
through putting their strength and knowledge at right place (Bloom and Van Reenen, 2011).

hire more educated and skilled applicant for the vacant profile within the firm as to utilizing their

functions which are performed by Human Resource management in which some are described as
under:
Orientation: This is also known as introduction stage in which manager of an organisation is
providing appropriate information to their new and existing employees about the roles and
responsibilities which are needs to be performed by them at work place. In this managers are
seeks to describing all the roles and policies which are required for an individual to follow up at

their employees about the work so that they can work with more passion and encouragement.
Training and development: This is also an another essential function of firm which is performed
by managers as to providing a clear direction to their employees as to moving forward towards
right direction. Management of firm needs to provide training session to their each employees as
