Reflection report
Evaluate the effectiveness and your usefulness of the learning experience
I increased my knowledge about the Human Resource Management (HRM) practices in the
Australian Construction Industry. I observed that human resource plays an imperative role in
effectively implementing corporate social responsibility. The corporate social responsibility
could not be effectively implemented by the human resource manager hence it is mandatory
for the organization to give value to their employees. It would be imperative for the
accomplishment of the organizational task (Alfes, et al., 2013). It is accountability of human
resource to show strategic concentrate and it operates as the partner of business with
corporate business responsibility. Moreover, it is examined that the organization should be
involved in the CSR activity and they offer adequate support to effectively implement the
corporate social responsibility in the business process and meet the aim and objectives
systematically. The primary purpose of human resource in the corporate social responsibility
is to converse and imply the views and policies of the company (Anderson, 2010).
Explain how this learning process will be useful to you
This section was imperative for enhancing my understanding with respect to the role of
human resources practices in the Australian Construction Industry. This research chapter
explains the literature review on two different concepts such as corporate social responsibility
and human resource management. In addition, it is also examined that both concepts were
interred linked with each other. With respect to determine the research gaps in the literature
review and the research frame, I conducted this assignment as it makes an outline of the
research topic and makes literature review concept (Haugh & Talwar, 2010). In this research,
I gained my understanding of many concepts as it is associated with CSR practices, CSR
significance, CSR concept, and CSR application in the Australian construction industry. In

addition, it is also evaluated that CSR strategies and HRM practices support to make the
relationship between HRM and the Australian Construction Industry.
Describe objectively what the happened in the learning process
In assignment 1, I completed many activities that are associated with the research issue
determination of the research objectives and aim, literature review development, and project
scope formulation. In this research, I completed many activities in assignment 2 such as
literature review summary and research methodology. I realized that the primary aim of
practicing literature review in task 1 is to analyze the role of human resources practices in the
Australian construction industry. It is examined that primary benefit of making objectives is
to conduct the research in a systematic way and meet feasible result (Kehoe & Wright, 2013).
Evaluate what you learn
In this research, I gained my understanding of many methods such as research techniques,
tools, approaches, and strategies as it was imperative for collecting feasible information in the
context of the current matter. Moreover, there are creation research techniques that were
effective for the attainment of research issue such as quantitative and qualitative research
method (Shen & Jiuhua Zhu, 2011). It would also be effective for the attainment of the
research goal. In this, I understood that the qualitative research tool is usually practiced for
non-numerical information in the context of specified research issue (Othman, Idrus, &
Napiah, 2012). Apart from this, I also gained my knowledge with respect to the quantitative
data collection tool that is practiced for collecting factual data about the human resources
practices in the Australian construction industry.
Explain your learning process
In this, there are many causes that facilitate the research scholar to perform both Assignment
1 and Assignment 2. I increased my knowledge about certain factors that could be associated
with the research hypothesis and research questions. It enables me to deeply understand the

relationship between human resources practices and industrial construction. Furthermore, I
used the research methodology in the research to systematically get appropriate data and
make a reliable conclusion (Patel & Cardon, 2010). The qualitative and quantitative research
design method was practiced by research scholar to meet the aim and objectives of the
research issue. For this study, I practiced interpretivism philosophy to obtain conceptual data
with respect to the existing research matter. I gained my understanding with respect to the
sampling tool that aids the research scholar to select the appropriate tool and get realistic data
with respect to the specified issue. Furthermore, I collected data in the context of the research
issue to resolve a research query on obtainable resources.
Explain Plan how this learning you will apply
This experience was quite difficult but it was supportive to gain my knowledge about
different techniques and tools. Herein, I increased my knowledge about two types of data
collection tools that could support to collect the data with respect to the research matter such
as primary as well as secondary data collection tool. It enables research scholar to obtain
valid data in the context of the current issue (Rimanoczy & Pearson, 2010). Furthermore, it
is also evaluated that I also gained my understanding with respect to the research timeframe,
research limitation, and available resources as it would directly influence the obtained
outcome of the research. I also gained my existing information certain components that could
create possibilities of creating ethical issues in the research (Phan, Abdallah, & Matsui,
2011).
It could also negatively reflect the overall response of the research outcome that could be a
major issue for the researcher. These factors are named
no plagiarism, university guidelines, and appropriate citation. It improved my understanding
in the context of ethical consideration that is effective for making a positive relationship with
the research candidates and obtain quality research outcome. It could also be imperative for

performing this research study in a systematic manner. In last, I gained my understanding
about the research timeframe that leads to determine the timeframe for the accomplishment of
each activity of research and obtainment of the quality research (Razak Bin Ibrahim, et al.,
2010).
