Introduction
Human resource management is the most effective approach of managing entire
workforce unit of an organization in such manner that it can extend the performance
of employees and influence the growth and success rate of the organization
effectively. HR department is responsible for resourcing an organization with proper
resources and talents. It deals with all the employees related issues in an
organization.
“Bentley Motors Limited” is a popular British car manufacturer company that
deals with luxurious cars and SUVs and they serve to worldwide customers. The
company was established in 1919, almost 100 years ago and after that in 1931,
Rolls Royce acquired it. In 1980, Vickers plc acquired the company and transferred
it to Volkswagen Group in 1998. Since that time, Volkswagen Group in undertaking
all business activities of Bentley. The company has 3600-trained employees
throughout the globe. Last year, Bentley generated £1800 million
(Bentleymotors.com, 2019).
In this paper, different roles and purpose of HR department will be explained.
Different HRM practices and their effectiveness in benefiting both employees and
employers will be included in this paper. Additionally, there are several internal and
external factors that impact over business decision-making that will be determined in
this study. Lastly, HRM practices will be applied in a work related context for overall
understanding of the project.
