Nature and consequences of bullying in workplace
Bullying generally refers to the employment of the coercion, force or threat in order to
abuse, indulge in the aggressive domination and the intimidate a certain section of a particular
employee of the organization by one certain member or a group of members of the concerned
organization. The members who are accused of being a bully are generally observed to bear the
idea of a discrimination between the victim and the bully. This particular behavior might be
repetitive in nature and is generally done on the basis of the rationalizations that are inclusive of
the differences that might exist within the concerned members on the matters that pertain to
appearances, other physical attributes, personalities, sexual orientation, lineage and other such
factors that are mostly out of the area of control of the concerned victim (Branch, Ramsay and
Barker 2013). The act of bullying might include various types cyber, emotional physical and
verbal. Bullying might also be classified on the basis of the number of people who are involved
in the act of bullying.
The activities of bullying might lead to some serious consequences. The most common
outcome of the bullying is depression that is faced by the concerned victims of the torture. The
other major consequence that follows the insensitive act of bullying is the tendency to indulge in
violence. The victims of the insensitive act might turn to adopt to the path that leads to the
practice of violence as a measure to save themselves from being victimized by the concerned
bullies. However, some psychologists tend to believe that bullying might have some positive
effects on the concerned victim of the act. The act of bullying might motivate the concerned
victim to outperform the concerned bully in the matters that are under his own control, thereby
bringing about a positive change in the concerned person (Trépanier, Fernet and Austin 2013).

Sexual harassment in any workplace refers to the various activities that might lead to the
harassment of a certain member of the workforce of any business organization. The sexual
harassment of a certain member of the staff of a business organization might deal with the
various manners in which the person is made to face harassment on the basis of the sex of the
concerned person. The sexual harassment of a concerned person might deal with the actions that
are inclusive of the display of the unwanted and uncalled for sexual advances towards the
concerned employee, the requests made by the harasser so as to receive some sexual favors from
the concerned employee who is being harassed (Mainiero and Jones 2013). The sexual
harassment might also include the matters that pertain to the verbal as well as the non-verbal
modes of harassment on the basis of the sex of the concerned person and the formulation of a
hostile environment within the concerned organization. The sexual harassers are often observed
to hold a certain economic or social power over the victim of the concerned activity of
harassment.
The activities that pertain to the sexual harassment of a certain member of the staff of the
concerned business might lead to major consequences. The sexual harassment of the concerned
employee might affect the concerned employee on the psychological, social and professional
levels thereby leading to the conditions wherein the concerned person is affected on a
psychological level (Mainiero and Jones 2013). The sexual harassment of the concerned member
of the concerned employee might also lead to the conditions wherein the victim might feel
vulnerable and prone to the various forms of sexual harassment at the hands of the other
employees within the concern. The concerned employee might also be affected by the hostility of
the working environment that they might have been facing at the concerned workplace.

Recommendations to CEO
The concerned members of the management of the business organization should ensure
the fact that the concerned members of the workforce of the business organization have been
working under the best possible conditions and are not being bullied or harassed on the basis of
their sexes. The concerned management might be advised to hold regular meetings regarding the
negative impacts of bullying as well as ensure the fact that the employees of the organization are
aware of the proper redressal channels in case they are being subject to bullying. The concerned
management of the organization is also advised to take huge and severe steps in cases wherein
the concerned bully needs to be identified. The concerned management is also advised to set up
the rules and regulations that need to be followed by the members of the workforce of the
concerned business organization in order to deal with the various manners and forms of the
bullying that might exist within the various members of the organization.
In case of the matters that pertain to the sexual harassment of the various staff members
of the concerned business organization, the management of the organization might be advised to
implement the various policies that deal with the implementation of a strict policy aimed at
providing assistance to the various members of the organizational workforce who might ne he
victims of sexual harassment within the organization. The victims who have been facing the
situations are advised to bring the matter to the limelight. This might help the concerned
members to avail the justice instead of being harassed in their workplace on a regular basis. The
witnesses of the event, if any, are also advised to call attention to the misbehaviors that might fall
under the broader title of sexual harassment in order to make the workplace a safe and habitable
place.
