This case study report analyzes the Human Resource Management (HRM) policies of Infosys, a leading Indian IT services company, within a global context. It examines the impact of cultural, institutional, and other factors on Infosys' HRM practices across India, the United States, and China. The report delves into various aspects of HRM, including labor relations, leave structures, employee rights, talent development, and compensation, comparing practices in these three countries. It also investigates the effects of differing HRM policies, particularly compensation gaps, on home and host country employees and discusses the challenges multinational companies face in adapting HRM policies to local laws and environments. The study makes recommendations to bridge gaps in HRM policies, aiming for comparable compensation and facilities to foster employee contentment and motivation, ultimately helping Infosys become a truly global entity. The study explores the approaches to global HRM like Geocentric, Regiocentric, Polycentric and Ethnocentric and the various aspects of GHRM policies like staffing and compensation.
