Assessment task 2:
Part A
1.
Managing the work priorities is one of the important aspects of an organization. The
managers should understand the importance of prioritising the most important tasks
(Groysberg and Abrahams 2014). Failure in meeting the deadlines can affect the organization
and it can create a bad image in the industry. The managers should prioritise their tasks
according to their importance and the deadline. There are many technologies available in the
market that will help the managers to prioritise the tasks. Some of the technologies that can
help the managers to manage their work priorities are discussed below:
Demand Metric:
Demand metric is an organization that helps the firms to effectively execute their tasks in
time. Customer’s using the demand metric tool get the following service and resources:
350+ templates and premium tools.
Analyst workshops.
Advisory engagements.
100+ guides how to effectively manage the work priorities.
Suite of consulting methodologies
Demand metric first came into the market in the year 2006. It helps the small companies,
consulting firms, start-ups and also the reputed organizations such as Apple, Bank of
America, Chevron, Kraft foods, Aon, caterpillar and Siemens to effectively manage their
deadlines in the organization (Momin and Mishra 2015). The software provides number of

members to complete critical tasks effectively and within the deadline. If the organization
needs an expert on the team the demand metric will help in providing programs that are
affordable to address the challenges of the marketing. Demand metric will help the
organization to keep the progress of the work in an excel template that is programmed in such
a way that it will show the next important tasks that needs to be done.
Statsmix:
With this technology, managing the priorities have become easier as the manager will get to
know what’s happening in the organization at a glance and it will also provide a deeper
understanding of the drivers of the key metrics (Nepal 2017). Statsmix automatically
generates different codes for popular languages of programming this why the integration with
the internal system is very easy.
The StatsMix software can provide the following benefits:
Monitor the data roll in as it occurs in the organization.
The dashboard setup will take about 5 mins for setup.
View the trend chart at any time at any instance.
Monitor and measure the metrics in a single centralized place.
The software provides instant charts in both individually and the dashboard form. It helps the
consumer to not rely on the spreadsheets and on the complex reporting tools. The only thing
that the manager needs to do is send the metrics to the Statsmix and the software will provide
all the information at anytime and anywhere.

Basecamp:
Basecamp is online project management software that focuses on providing a simple, clear
and easy to use project management technology (Amighi et al. 2012). Though it is and online
software it helps the users to collaborate and share the file easily with other members of the
organization.
Project management only focused on the charts, gnatt charts and statistics in the
previous years. The problem was that it was very complicated and it was very difficult to get
the information at a single glance. However, Basecamp focuses on the managing the project
management from a whole different angles, which focus on the collaboration and
communication. The Basecamp helps all the members to come under one roof and helps them
to execute the tasks.
With this software the organization can get the following benefits:
Complete the tasks within the deadlines
Scheduling the events of the project.
Tracking and recording the every hour the user spends.
Another feature that Basecamp provides is that the user can manage the projects from the
smartphones. Basecamp mobile is specially designed for the mobile platforms like Android
and iPhone. The page basecamphq.com will provide all the information and the user also
does not have to install any extra applications in their devices.

10PROFESSIONAL ASSESSMENT
Part B:
Stress is common in the workplace. The work load is increasing and so does the stress level
of the employees. To recommend some of the health programmes that will help the
employees to manage their stress level; we have to research about what causes stress among
the employees first. Stress can happen due to many reasons some of the reasons for stress are:
High workloads: The most common cause of stress is high workload. Unrealistic
deadlines make the employees to rush with their and the feel pressure of failing to
meet the deadlines (Happell et al. 2013).
Insufficient workloads: Just like the high workloads, insufficient workloads also
affect the employees. When an employee is allocated insufficient tasks they starts to
think that their skills are underused and they don’t have enough importance in the
organization. Therefore, the management should allocate realistic deadlines to their
employees (Boonstra 2013).
Lack of control: Ehen the employee have less or no control in the organization they
start to feel stress (Cohen et al. 2012). Lack of involvement in the operational process
in the organization can affect the employees as they think that they are not perfect for
the job and they don’t have much importance in the organization. This happens when
the employee’s point of view is not heard by the management. Lack of involvement in
the decision making process of the organization can also lead to stress.
Poor working environment: The workplace condition affects the performance of the
employees. Standard of workplace or equipments that is used in the organization can
influence the production of the employees. Poor workplace condition will lead to
lower production and as a result the employee will be affected and this will increase
the level of stress among the employees (Boehr 2014).

Bullying: Harassment or bullying can affect the working environment of the
organization and this will result to increase in the stress level of the employees.
Bullying can discourage the employees to work in the organization and this will give
way to depression and stress.
