HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
The orientation training, which I received in my last job helped me to implement the
learning into the execution of the allocated duties and responsibilities. The training seemed to
be effective in terms of aligning the performance with the identified and the specified goals
and objectives. According to the current employment requirements, the demand for social and
analytical skills is higher than others. In this context, I can say that the incorporation of
problem solving skills seemed to be fruitful in terms of achieving proper transition between
the jobs. The skills development in these parameters was a part of the Orientation Training
Program, which I felt, reflects a systematic progression towards moulding the new joinees
into the workplace environment. According to me, revision of the parameters is needed in
terms of providing scope to the candidates to enhance their talents.
Fading importance of the physical and manual skills reflects a compromise with the
manual labour, which I think is inappropriate in terms of valuing the creativity of the
candidates. Therefore, organizations need to organize effective training programs, so that the
new candidates can acquaint themselves with the culture of the workplace. These trainings
are crucial in terms of enhancing the preconceived skills, expertise and knowledge of the
candidates for shaping their perceptions regarding the organizational culture.
If I get promoted in the next three years, I would seek opportunities for developing the
skills in problem solving, creativity and communication. For this, I need to be competent
towards dealing with the various issues. Experimenting with these issues would help me to
upgrade the standards and quality of my learning process and style.
