INTRODUCTION
The management of human resource basically refers to the process of employing people,
compensating them, training them and developing strategies for retaining employees into
positive manner. Human resource management plays a very significant role at the organisational
level. In the present report, TESCO is taken into consideration. TESCO is a British multinational
merchandise retailer which is headquartered in Welwyn Garden City, England. The presentation
will cover discussion about HRM practices into the work related context with support of
examples to demonstrate improvement to sustainable performance of organisation. In addition to
this, the presentation will cover analysis about in which manner the application of particular
HRM practices into the work related context that can improve sustainable performance of
organisation. Moreover, the report will cover discussion about weakness and strengths of HRM
practices to make recommendations for improving organisational performance into sustainable
manner.

There are certain practices of human resource management at the organisational level
which help in terms of improving the performance into sustainable manner. These practices
include recruiting the best candidate, creating favourable work conditions, compensation and
benefits, on boarding process, employee retention, access to knowledge and tools and coaching
and development(Verma., 2017). In context to TESCO company, there are certain recruitment
practices which needs to be followed by company where they remain careful while selecting a
candidate for their organisation. They majorly evaluate the candidate through the score criteria
of qualified and skilled employees who have the right set of skills. Within the on boarding
process, TESCO organisation has directly send the letter to the deserving candidate about the
communication for exact date of joining and other specification of recruitment as well.
For the sustainable performance of organisation, TESCO has created such a positive and
cooperative environment where team members feel comfortable while working within the team.
The team members have to cooperate with each other so that they can deliver the results into
collaborative manner.

At the organisational level of TESCO, there is a positive environment which gives
freedom to the employees to work into free manner and exchange their point of views without
having any kind of conflict. There is a HRM practice where TESCO company gives
compensation and rewards through fifteen percent off after every pay day for a four day period
and ten percent on the rest of the month on TESCO'S most purchases. For achieving sustainable
performance at the organisational level, the company has also conducted training and
development programs so that they can enhance skills of their employees according to changing
period of time. These are the HRM practices which is into the work related context in order to
demonstrate sustainable performance at the organisational level.

The organisational performance can be improved into sustainable manner through
recruiting the right candidate who can do multi tasking work will positively contribute in terms

and rewards, employees feel valued within the TESCO organisation and also feel motivated
towards achieving goals of an organisation. When training and development programs have been
conducted into positive manner then there is improvement into the skills of employees due to
which they perform into out of box manner. This will result into the overall great performance of
TESCO organisation. When TESCO provides favourable working conditions at the
organisational level then employees feel positive towards their work due to which they perform
with their full potential which will result into the enhancement into the overall performance of
the organisation. That's why the application of these HRM practices at the organisational level
contribute into the context of enhancing the performance of organisation into sustainable
manner.

There are certain weaknesses and strengths of HRM practices which will help in terms of
improving performance of the organisation. The main weakness of HRM practices is that these

very important in to the context of running the business into successful manner. Human resource
management not only resolves the issues of employees but also takes care about the every aspect
of organisation which creates hindrance in terms of achieving objectives of an organisation.
