INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is considered as a strategic approach the effectual
individuals management within firm so that they can assists business to increase competitive
advantage (Bratton and Gold, 2017). This is generally developed to enhance the performance of
the workers into services of employer's strategic goals. For this report the given company is
Placenta which is a fastest growing plant sciences business. The purpose of this report is to
organisational structure of given firm and how this influences staff motivation. With the
assistance of Charles handy, Placenta corporate culture are described and its influences recruited
individuals. Apart from this, management styles of respective firm are also mentioned in this
report.

1. Organisational structure of Placenta and how it influence staff motivation

guided for accomplishing the objectives of company. It also ascertain the flows of information

among levels in firm. Placenta have the tall structure as this is one of the popular types as this is
effectual as well as time tested. It allows senior leaders and employees of firm to develop
strategic decisions about operative strategy and then deliver that decisions to top level as well as
middle level managers who formulate process to convert the company vision into reality. It also
maintains a strong chain of command from higher authority to lower workers. Herein, staff
below senior management of Placenta know its roles as well as duties that can enhance their
efficiency and productivity (Brewster, Chung and Sparrow, 2016). In this owners of the business
are accountable for formulating appropriate principles and vision of firm also deliver vision to
mid- level managers clearly. With the help of this managers can develop tactics and process of
the task which is helpful to accomplish objectives that are developed by their leaders. Tall
organisational structure of Placenta influences the staff motivation as due to this there should be
the chances of being promoted to management ranks. Rank and file employees can leverage
standard performance of superior into lower level management after that work effectively to
meet the status of top and middle management. With every promotion, workers achieve new
skills as well as knowledge so that staff get motivated and contribute towards organisational
success of Placenta.

Corporate culture is considered as the behaviours as well as beliefs which ascertain
management and workers interact with others and manage outside transactions of the related
business. It is rooted in firm's objectives, approaches, structure, and strategies to consumers,
labour, investor etc. As the company Placenta has the culture of empowering their employees it
uses Charles handy model. This model was introduced by the Charles handy in year 1932 which
define culture as a manner people live and obey rules and regulation which is not written. It
includes the four culture which the Placenta follow that are mentioned below:

Power Culture: This kinds of culture is based on the task, performance as well as success
of the people which are the essential elements of this (Shier and Handy, 2016). In
Placenta, power are in the hands of some individuals and only they are authorised to
make any decisions. Those employers or manager delegates duties to another employees. Role Culture: This is the culture at which each workers roles and duties are delegated as
per their qualifications, experiences, interest and interest to extract best of that. In
Placenta, this culture are utilised so that their workers can decide what effective it can do
and also accepts the challenges happily. Task culture: Firms where groups are created to attain targets or resolve difficult issues it
comply task culture. In Placenta, people having common specialisation as well as interest
come together to develop the team.

Person culture: In this culture, people are focused regarding its own-self instead of
company. This culture can be used by the Placenta as they are concentrated towards the
employees self actualisation needs so that it regularity can be obtain in work.
The above mentioned Charles handy model are utilise by the Placenta as this help them to
delegate task appropriately, know about their employees self actualisation needs, work can be
given as per their interests, higher authorities can make effective decision and so on (Smith,
2014). This influences the various types of people that are hired to the company as different
people such as CEO, directors, manager etc. are different individuals so its roles task and power
are also not same. Thus, as per their position its roles and accountabilities are allocated and work
are given accordingly.
3. Management style and its influences training and development HR function
Management styles are considered as a principles which emphasize the process,
capabilities and techniques that managers applied at the time of handling situations as well as
showing leadership in firm. There are various styles such as autocratic, Laissez Faire and many
more (Inandi, Tunc, and Gilic, 2013). Placenta comply the autocratic management style as this
enables manager to make effective decisions on behalf of company. It depends upon clear
directions, commands and supervision. Due to this work can be performed effectively on
specified time and accomplish the objectives of the team. As HR team of Placenta facilitates
opportunities for training and development for whole employees. Like it supports their workers
to study for CIM Diploma in marketing, personal development and so on. Though Autocratic
style training and development function get influenced as with the help of this decision can be
done quickly regarding training programmes such as personal development etc. while leading
team if it is seen that some are not able to perform effectively or do not meet the working
standards then decision are done as per that.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it have been concluded that HRM play essential role as this
enhances the employees performance and productivity. As per the scenario, Placenta have the
tall structure which assists them to encourage their workers work effectively and obtain
promotion. Charles handy culture are used by the respective firm so that various individual
recruited should know their roles and responsibilities, power etc. apart from this it apply the
