INTRODUCTION
Employee engagement is the activity of engaging the employees at workplace for the
purpose of managing all functions and activities. It is critical for each organisation to have
experienced and talented individuals since they contribute to the aims and objectives of the
organisation. The employees are the assets of organization who understand what their company
wants and give their contribution to accomplish business as well as personal goals. The retention
means activity that can be used to keep their personnel for a long time and to get the job done.
To have good and talented staff could be opportunity for companies as it helps to accept the
changes and supports to develop organizational performance (Pareek, Mohanty, and Mangaraj,
2019). To understand about employee engagement and retention within Human resource
management Morrisons has been selected that is large size retail sector organization, founded in
1899 by William Morrison. The proposal involves aims and objectives, literature review, and
methodology.

Overview of the Research – Human resource management is the main function of an

people works collectively by managing all functions and activities effectively. The current

understanding goals and give their contribution to accomplish them. The Retention is another
term of human resource which is used to retaining people for long period and gets work done
effectively. This can help to develop the organizational sales and productivity effectively.

and selecting best people at the workplace who have engaged in business activities and give their
