directly influence employee performance is training and development. Provision of effective
training and development to employees can directly help in enhancement of their existing skills
and knowledge that can further help organizations in enhancing overall performance of
employees. This is because training and development provision directly help employees in
gaining understanding of their job roles and responsibilities in an appropriate and accurate
manner. Whereas another appropriate HRM practice that can help in enhancement of employee
performance is performance appraisal. It can directly help in rewarding employees as per their
