LITERATURE REVIEW
According to the view of Mira, Choong and Thim, (2019) human resource management a
vital and important role within an organization that can directly help in enhancement of overall
performance of employees. There are many different kinds of HRM practices and methods that
can be focused upon and adopted by organizations for enhancing overall performance of
employees in an appropriate manner. First and the foremost important type of HRM practice that
directly influence employee performance is training and development. Provision of effective
training and development to employees can directly help in enhancement of their existing skills
and knowledge that can further help organizations in enhancing overall performance of
employees. This is because training and development provision directly help employees in
gaining understanding of their job roles and responsibilities in an appropriate and accurate
manner. Whereas another appropriate HRM practice that can help in enhancement of employee
performance is performance appraisal. It can directly help in rewarding employees as per their
performance which further helps in motivating employees so that they can work upon themselves
and bring improvement within their overall performance themselves.
As per the view of Manzoor and et. al., (2019) adoption of an appropriate HRM practice
by organizations is extremely important because it can directly affect performance, satisfaction
and motivation of employees which can effectively affect overall performance of organization.
One of the most important HRM practice is recruitment and selection and it can affect employee
performance as well. This is because it is first and foremost responsibility of HR to recruit and
select appropriate candidate with appropriate skills, knowledge and qualities who can fulfil job
roles and responsibilities in an appropriate and adequate manner (Mira, Choong and Thim,
2019). If appropriate person is not selected for the job role then will eventually degrade overall
performance of employee. Employee empowerment is another important HRM practice which is
required to be focused upon as it can further affect performance of all the staff members. It is an
important HRM practice because it can result in increased or decreased involvement of
employees. When employees are empowered on their decision making there are more interested
in achievement of goals and objectives of organization.

rewards and compensation can be both monetary and non-monetary and provision of both type of
compensation and rewards can motivate employees so that they can bring further improvement
within their overall performance.

this type of research only textual or non- numerical data or information is collected. Qualitative
research type is an appropriate type of research that can be sued by the researcher because it can
directly help in providing detailed insight of impact of HRM practices upon employee
