DEVELOPMENT, REWARDING and APPRAISAL between the United Kingdom and
France
Training and development in the United Kingdom
The economy of the UK is advanced with the aging population so their training and development
system has several distinct characteristics. Some institutional structures provide training to the
employees and help the employees in developing higher average wages (Rowland and Hall,
2014). In the last, for decades the policies of the UK in term of training and development have
many provisions which are subject to the radical changes.
Training and development in France
France has a European country that provides training, development, and education to its
employees in the incremental approach within the UK policy. In France, the employers must
provide skill development including the training programmers. There are the apprentice training
centers within the workplace in which vocational training has been incorporated.
Company in UK
Prudential Public Limited Company in the UK uses the HRM practices to provide the orientation
to their employees, give them effective training and also evaluate their performance to improve
the success of the company.
Company in France
BNP Paribas Company in the France uses the HRM practices to engage the workers about
performing their job effectively and HR also provides the cultural environment and also monitors
the performance and also appraises and rewards the employees accordingly.
Rewarding and appraisal in the United Kingdom
There is no law for the appraisal in the UK but it has been done by the employees to motivate the
employees. Appraisal meeting is conducted in the UK where the bonuses and increment in the

employees has been given related to pay structure and as per their fair treatment in the company.
