I am using Gibbs reflective cycle as one of the reflective models that has supported me a lot
to reflect and write this assignment. Along with this, through this model, I was to able to
identify what happened, what was my feeling, what was good and bad, and I was able to
conclude the findings also. The best part of this model was that I was of making proper
sense of the situation and this supported me a lot to understand about the overall situation in
the best possible. After undertaking the positive attribute of the Gibbs cycle, I have been
able to reflect and write this assignment. Moreover, the best part was that through different
stages in the reflective cycle I was able to evaluate the learning experience along with the
good and bad experiences.

selection approaches, methods used in the HRM practices, the importance of employee

HRM practices etc. The entire research that I undertook was highly effective, and it
supported a lot in enhancing my knowledge level also. Previously I was not at all aware of

knowledge. My behaviour was also positive as I was excited to learn new things and this

I found that for any organisation the most important aspect is to undertake the right
recruitment and selection processes. I also identified that by undertaking right HRM
approaches it is possible for any firm to manage its employees in the best possible manner
(Bratton and Gold, 2017). Moreover, the good part was I learned about the different tactics of
managing employee relations and the legislation that are associated with the field of HRM.
The bad experience was that I was unaware of the ways through which HRM practices can
be implemented easily. So, this was the actual learning obtained after conducting the
present reflection.

1. One of the main areas that I will require to undertake is associated with recruitment
and selection. I have gained knowledge about different practices of recruitment and
selection. In the near future I will use this learning in the workplace where I will work,
and I will recommend different recruitment and selection approaches to be managers
of my company. Along with this, the learning will also assist in my professional
development as through this I will become a successful and knowledgeable HR
manager who is well aware of different recruitment and selection approaches. Hence,
this learning will be easily applied in the workplace setting.
2. The second area that I will undertake is linked with managing employee relations. This
area is quite crucial as the learning obtained can be applied in the organisation where I will
