1. When I developed my research proposal, there was only one type of information that I
thought Happy Dog’s needed to collect through research. The first type involved the
use quantitative primary data. Rich (2014) explains that researchers can also apply
quantitative method when they want to collect primary data. The primary data would
come from the staff working at the happy dog’s Pty Ltd. It could be easier to measure
quantitative data statistically. I thought that the information could be collected
through survey questionnaires as major collection instrument.
2. Megan’s feedback provides me with an opportunity to improve the methodology
section. More importantly, I will provide more details concerning the process that I
will use to administer my survey.
This aspect of research will depend on data collection instrument
Megan indicated in the recommendations that there was a need to provide more
details explaining the procedures I would use to administer my survey. Some of the
areas that Megan proposed included explaining how I will send the survey
instruments to the respondents. How I will go ahead to get them back, and how I
would record the data. The proposal offered by Megan support Adams (2007)
discussion about procedures for collecting primary data. Any research study that seeks
to use either primary or secondary data should provide clear explanations on the
nature as well as procedures to be applied during data collection period. The
explanation should also incorporate data analysis
3. Mega’s feedback provides higher standards of improving my proposal. The feedback
revealed that I missed out on three areas of my research methodology. Therefore, I
could improve my overall proposal by including an appendix as an attachment of
survey question I indent to administer to the respondents. Any one reading while

making my presentation, the audience must see exactly the kind of information that I
indent to collect from each respondent (Adams, Raeside & Khan, 2014). Furthermore,
the questions should be related to my objectives as well as hypothesis.
Second, Mega recommended that I provide more details concerning data collection
procedure. The process should also include the proposed data analysis. Third, Mega
proposes the need to provide a clear understanding about my sampling concepts. My
current proposal indicates that I seek to collect data from entire population of
employees from Happy Dog’s. In overall, my original proposal missed out on three
key things; survey questions, data collection and analysis procedure, and sampling
approach.
4. I have learned from Mega’s feedback that proposals should present the questions to
ask the target group. A proposal should show Cleary how the data will be collected.
Third, a proposal should show a clear understanding of sapling method. I will now
improve my proposal by designing a survey instrument with all questions and attach it
in the appendix. Second, I will explain the process that I will use to collect primary
data including data analysis. I will also present a clear understanding of my sampling
concepts.
5. I would use this experience to improve my future proposal. For example, I will design
a proposal by providing important information such as questions, data collection and
analysis procedure, and sampling method.
