In this assignment, I was tasked to analyse the selection and promotion of human resource
within the organisation. The assignment required us to analyse how the effectiveness of HR
structure within the organisation helps in ensuring the long-term growth of the firm. The HR
department is required to be strong so that the issues within the organisation can be resolved
effectively. The assignment helped in understanding the organisation’s HR department is
required to focus upon other activities of the workforce within the organisation, including
talent management, selection methods and retention planning of employees. The promotion
and selection within the organisation are required to ensure that the organisation has an
effective workforce allocated as per the job requirements and responsibilities within the
organisation. I have understood that the adjustor also plays an important role within the
organisation as they help in predicting the business situation and helps in developing
strategies accordingly. The organisation is also required to manage the expenses of the
business; therefore, the HR department is required to identify the areas within the
organisation where the expenses can be reduced and those can be channelized to improve the
effectiveness of other activities within the organisation. The assignment helped me in
analysing that the HR department of this leading organisation is required to improve its
abilities so that it can effectively focus upon organisation’s internal issues, so that the
organisational effectiveness can be ensured.
