INTRODUCTION
In this report there has been a brief discussion about the issues of B.N. Foray which mainly
includes the HRM issues. These issues are discussed and there are some suggestion being given to
resolve these issues so that there will be optimization of the human resource available to B.N.
Foray. I have also included the the plan to implement these resolutions and the risk related to these
issues. There has been a critical analysis of these issues. (Cascio, 2015)

MAIN BODY
There are a variety of HRM issues being faced by the company which needs to be resolved
in order for the smooth working of the organisation. These issues include the change in contracts
and working
practice which includes a lot of employees conflicts and there engagement in the organization are
discussed below:
NEW WORKING ENVIRONMENT CHALLENGES
The company is facing issues that has come to the focus of the HRM department is that there
are concerns relating to the new working environment, this means that the employees are not happy
with the introduction of the robotics into the company. If the employees will resist these changes
then the company's operation will be jeopardised and since there is the problem of the increased
cost this will boost that problem too. Additional the company has taken a recent benchmarking
exercise and has come to know that the cost of production of there products are significantly higher
than there competitors. This is a very important issue and is needed to be resolved as soon as
possible as the customer will switch to the competitor's product if B.N. Foray is charging higher.
CONFLICT BETWEEN JO AND MILES
In B.N. Foray the logistic team is consider to perform a core function for the company.
There has been a conflict in the team between Jo and Miles. Jo has accused Miles that a health and
safety executive leaving the team in dangerous situation to which Miles answered that it was
impossible to work with that employee. This conflict can again lead to jeopardising the B.N. Foray
operation. This is because if the logistic team does not work with proper efficiency then the product
freshness and quality will be degraded and so the company's vision and mission will not be met.
The company cannot terminate any employee because Jo has been working for 15 years and holds
experience in her field and Miles has just completed his training and if terminated the cost incurred
upon him will be wasted.
These issues must be resolved as soon as possible, there are some suggestion given below to resolve
these issue:
The change in contracts and working
practice issue should be solved by using new techniques to work like time study, motion study etc.,
so that the production become effective and efficient.(Noe, 2015) The company should use some
initiative for increasing the employee engagement in the organisation, so that there is proper

communication between the employee and the top level management. If this is not done then the
employee may feel demotivated and this can lead to increased employee turnover. The company
should move on with there idea of time production and zero hour contract too. The company should
start using cost cutting techniques, so that B.N. Foray can match there competitor and sell there
product at the price which is existing in the market. This must be done to maintain the market share.
(Chelladurai and Kerwin, 2018)
The conflict in the logistic team should be resolved by hearing the arguments of both Jo and
Miles. Since Jo has an experience of 15 years and is concerned about the health and safety issues,
Miles should recruit back the employee been terminated or should recruit another new employee, so
that the health and safety of the B.N. Foray's employees are not sacrificed. Since the previous
employee gave Miles a hard time as she was not cooperative and she has to call him at least 3 times
a day to get things done, so it is better for B.N. Foray to recruit new employee so that everyone will
be satisfied. This conflict is affecting the quality and freshness of the company's food products.
PLANS FOR COSTING AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Since there are problem in costing of the company HRM can use the plan given below to reduce the
cost.
MAXIMIZE WAREHOUSE STAFF SKILLS
Assess the employee capabilities and skills so that right employee would be chosen for the right job.
This will help in efficient working of the organisation. The company's cost will be saved as the
work will be done in the required time with the proper quality. This will help the company to build
brand image in the eyes of the customers and thus in turn this might increase the revenues of the
organisation too.(Bratton and Gold, 2017)
REDUCING HOLDING EXPENSES
The company can use techniques like just in time inventory, this will help the company to the cost
to a great extent. But they must have trusted supplier who can provide them with the supplies as and
when required or they will not be able to fulfil the demand of the customers. This will reduce the
holding cost of B.N. Foray to a great extent.(Brewster, 2017)
USING EFFICIENT TIME MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES
Optimizing the time will effectively lower the cost of the business. For this the company should
minimize the distractions of the employees, the time work on different work should be noted and
compare it to the standard time of doing that task and if there is an adverse variance then the

employees must be questioned.
HARNESS VIRTUAL TECHNOLOGY
B.N. Foray can also reduce there cost by operating in virtual manner so that the communications
are not delayed. This can be used by the employees working in the warehouse to connect to there
supervisor whenever there is confusion.
LOWER FINANCIAL EXPENDITURES
There must be cost saving here by comparing different financial expenditures and choosing the
cheapest and the best quality the company can get. For example the company should compare the
insurance policy and then match these to get the best at the cheapest price available. The company
should not borrow unnecessary funds and if there is a borrowing then the company must do a cost
benefit analysis.
FOCUS ON QUALITY
Satisfied customers increase sales through referrals and repeat purchases. Higher quality and a solid
reputation allows you to charge higher prices, which equals higher revenue and a healthier bottom
line.(Mondy and Martocchio, 2016) So qualitative products are the key to keep the market share of
the customers and increase that market share.
RISK OF IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW STRATEGIES
These new strategies will have many risk in there implementation as the company may face many
challenges. These risks are discussed below:
Even if the company uses just in time inventory to reduce there holding cost, if there supplier are
not trust worthy then they will not be able to satisfy there customer demand and this may affect
there goodwill.
B.N. Foray when using the lower financial expenditure should remember that don't choose the
worst packages, because then they will end up incurring more cost than before so they must be
careful while selecting the financial expenditure packages.
The employees may resist to these changes so the company must have good leader to coordinate
with these employees or the company's will have large staff turnover and the employee will remain
demotivated and the work done will not have quality.
If the company is harnessing new technology then they must ensure that the employees have proper

From this report, we have concluded that the B.N. Foray has been facing different issues in
warehousing and logistic department which the company must resolve in order for the smooth
working of the organisation. So the report have included the resolutions of these issues. Then there
is a plan for implementation of new strategies and the risk related to these strategies and how to
tackle it. These all are the key issue of the company and must be addressed so that the company's
operation is not jeopardised and the company can maintain its market share.
