Brief Industry Outlook
Introduction
Job market in the current scenarios becoming highly competitive in nature, It is really a very
tough job for the individuals to make a proper place for themselves in the job market, however in
order to get a good job all the individuals have to make sure that they are developing a proper
qualification and personality so that they are able to secure a good job position for themselves in
the highly competitive Job market. However it is really essential for all the people to develop a
personal SWOT analysis so that they can get to know about the areas of strengths and the areas of
weakness that are present within themselves. I want to work as a marketing manager in the retail
industry. Therefore I will have to work hard in order to carry on with myself properly. in the I have
not only conducted a personal SWOT of my own but have also taken a copy of the SWOT analysis
from one of close associate that is one of my colleague so that I can get to know about what others
perceive about me and can work upon the improvement of the drawbacks present within me.
CDP Sections
Short term goals
The short terms goals are the ones where the individuals try to accomplish some part of their
career objective. As per my perception it is always important to move forward in a step by step
manner so that the work of reaching up to the goal can become very easy and also set in a proper
routine manner. The average time span of the goals in the short term period can be up to 18months
or so. As per the opinion of Quinn et al., (2015) setting up the goals is of utmost importance as it is
helpful in understanding about the energy and the strength that must be put up in order to attain the
proper goals.
The short term goals are
I was trying to improve my English speaking skill. In order to be a good manner I will have
to develop a good English speaking skill as English is the global language and I will be used in all
the different business places.

I will carry on working in Aldi as the marketing manager as this is my internship period and will
help me in understanding about the duties and the responsibilities that I have to carry on in order to
become a good manager
I will be preparing myself in such a way that I am capable of developing a very good decision
making skill. I will have to make sure that as a manager I am being able act in a very prompt and
effective manner.
I will also start developing a habit of browsing into the latest news of employment and the essential
managerial tips that are actually being shared by the renowned managers of different places in the
world.
Medium term goals
I will try to work over my communication skills. I will try to talk with all the other co workers
coming from different backgrounds and make sure that I am being able to understand the ways
in which I need to develop my communication skills. In order to be a good manager in the
near future, I will have to make sure that I am being able to develop a horizontal means of
communication so that all the other co workers are able to talk with me and also share all their
concerns.
Long-term goals
In the long run, I would like to work over my anger management skill. I am unable to work under
stressful situation and I get angry. This is really a negative sign for anyone who aspires to
become a manager. There I will always try to work over this aspect and make sure that I am
being able to work in a very polite and cooperative manner.
I will try to develop a proper knowhow about the managerial challenges that the managers often
deal with. I will try to widen my area of research and start to venture into the management
issues of the other countries like Indonesia, Thailand , Japan.
Cross cultural management and gaining a good amount of knowledge about the different cultures
and religions in different parts of the world is highly essential for the purpose of becoming an

ideal manager.
Job market Industry
I want to grow up and complete my course in the field of marketing and
management and then joining as a marketing manager. In order to do that, I must be able to
develop a personal SWOT analysis and also a SMART objective so that I am able to follow
all of the same. This will be helpful for me in creating a step by step method of achieving the
realistic goals within a specified amount of time.
Country I live in
I from living in Australia and there is a major competition in the job sectors. Therefore I
will have to build myself in such a way that it will be helpful in obtaining a good job position for
myself. As many students from different parts of world come to study in the foreign Universities in
Australia, there will be a very tough competition. I have tried to make myself ready to face all
kinds of competition.
Personal PESTLE Analysis
Political
There are some political restrictions that might turn out to be a problem in the near future.
For an instance, there can be the problem of leaves or a flexible time shift for the employee. Apart
from this the female employees might complain that there is the disparity in the salary that is being
offered to them and their male employees. Thus I will have to look over these matters and make
sure that I can manage these problems and find out a solution.

Economic
As I want to work as an ideal manager in the near future, I will have to make sure the
economy is being maintained properly. Australian economy has been showing a trend that is slow
but is uniform and gradually there is a rise. In other words there is a chance that the employees will
be making a good economic gain or getting a good salary after joining the respective works.
Social
The societal setup of Australia is open minded and the people know how to work in a self
dependent manner. Therefore I will have to develop a good decision making skill. This will always
help me to make sure that I am being able to abide by the rules and regulations and also to take the
right kind of decisions at the right time.
Technological
Australia is one of the most technologically advanced countries. I will be able to develop
my technological skills and make sure that I am using them in my work field. Getting a proper
technological knowhow will always be helpful in understanding about the recent teens in work and
the ways in which one will be able to perform their works in a sound and stable manner.
Legal
Getting VISA is often becoming a major problem in order to get a good job post in
Australia. However at the same time, there is no other option left for the Australian Government
other than making their legal rules strictly. Thus the initial rule was Australia used to progress the
working visa up to 4 years (subclass 457). However, the visa has got cancelled in April 2017. Thus
I know that it can be bit tough for me to easily apply and get a Visa. However I will have to keep
patience and develop a good knowledge over the process of Visa initiation.

an instance I will be talking with the seniors at office and also with the managing faculties which
are training us. I will also try to use my LinkedIn profile on a regular basis and check out the most
