Database Assignment Solution - Ceylon Textile Suppliers (CTS)

This document presents a comprehensive database assignment solution focusing on stock management for Ceylon Textile Suppliers (CTS). 3. User Stories and acceptance Criteria
User Story 1:
1. The system is to store the details of all the items that are present in the inventory.
2. The system need to get the details of Good In staffs and the Goods Out staffs so that they
can update the sales and the stock in the system.
Acceptance Criteria 1:
1. The customer needs to place an order so that check can be done for present inventory and
items packing can be done so that delivery of product to the customer sis done without any
difficulty.
2. The sales team need to provide the delivery note and the dispatch note to the stock team so
that further processes are carried out.
User Story 2:
1. The stock manager is to call the supplier can do purchase order if the stock level is low for a

particular item in the inventory.
2. The stock manager has to check the products available with the supplier before placing the
order.
Acceptance Criteria 2:
1. Before placing the order, the stock manager has to make a list of all the products that are npt
available in the inventory.

6. Process Descriptions
1.0 Checks Stock: The stock manager checks the inventory stock so that he can update
on the product to get the details of the product. If the inventory is out of stock, the products are
restocked by providing purchase orders from the suppliers.
3.0 Update Stock File: This process is held by the stock manager so that the stock
present in the inventory is known to the stock master and the sales department. The stock file is
updated with the number of purchase order. This indicates that particular order number is in

order. In this process, if supplier restocks a particular product, the delivery date for the product is
filled in.
