INTRODUCTION
Organizational behaviour can be defined as study of the way people
interact within groups. This study is important as it helps in identifying an
appropriate technique for developing more efficient companies. Culture and
ethics are two important factors which have direct as well as significant effect on
behaviour of employees at workplace.
Organization
HSBC is a British multinational banks. An organisation offers financial services to customers. It is
considered to be as largest bank in Europe. Business entity has its offices in approx. sixty-seven countries
which enables firm to deliver services to wide number of customers. An enterprise is HSBC is organised
within four business groups: Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Market, Retail Banking and Wealth
Management, and Global Private Banking. HSBC is amongst the most profitable global bank. It is the second
largest bank in terms of revenue.
Organizational Behaviour and Practices
HSBC organisation is committed to building a diverse as well as
inclusive culture where all employees are valued and respected. Manager in
HSBC are responsible for providing safe as well as healthy working
environment. It is the duty of the manager in HSBC to facilitate an effective
communication as well as coordination between management and employees.
In addition to this, An organisation have focus on catering to the needs of all
employees. Business entity utilises new as well as unique approaches for
dealing with routines issues. Culture in HSBC is rewarding which has assisted
firm in more talented as well as skilled workforce. Manager in an organisation
has developed the creative environment in an organisation, which has enabled
employees to develop critical thinking. Such environment at workplace has
assisted workers in developing the innovative ideas for solving specific
problems. In HSBC, each and every member is responsible for completion of
particular activity.

balance. In addition to this culture in HSBC is committed to building a

HSBC, there is an effective environment as well as culture, all employees can
easily share their problems, view, and ideas with other people as well as
management. Organisation concentrate on promoting team work.. The five
principles on which culture of HSBC is based includes honesty, knowledge,
openness, modesty and kindness. Culture in HSBC have concentration on the
role of collective management. Leaders in organisation concentrate on
promoting team work. All the employees in an enterprise are provided with
career development, learning and training opportunities which help them in
gaining satisfaction. Business entity fulfil all its responsibility towards
workers.

It is important for manager in HSBC to develop such strategies through which
business goals can be aligned to an individual goal. As this strategy will assist

According to the functional paradigm, it is important for HSBC organization to
develop the understanding about the needs of people in the society and to fulfil the
same, as this strategy will assist business entity in increasing sustainability (Burrell
and Morgan, 2017). In addition to this, an organization can participate in social
events, as this tactic will help an enterprise in generating brand awareness. It will also
help firm in gaining customer loyalty.
