Health and social care is helps the public to care of them and that would help them to

growth and upgrade of the health of people in society. There are many kind of things that can
have cause which are been related to the health issues to the person of the nation. And it is
important to know about all these and to know about the protection and safety policies which is
been made to use in welfare of the people (Dawsonand Moore, 2011). It is not be done to make
the links and the connections by the people directly they have to make the proper information by
the help while connected with the other nations, and with their government sectors and the
private sectors so they all can together make the problems solve in better manner. Health care
sectors has to follow the rules which helps the people in getting the required care from them it is
important for them to do their work in an correct manner which would help them to make proper
care of it. If they would make proper plans and the correct way to treat people then they can surly
make many changes in peoples life.

Communication is necessary for all the people, as it is important to have an proper
communication in between health care and the people as they can communicate and know about

make communication while working. In that verbal and non verbal communication is been
included in it (Ding, Tinaand Zhang, 2014). It is important for the people of the health care to
make an better relation with the people who are suffering from problems and which needs care,
having the proper care and any kind of thing it is important for them to make an proper
communication with them which would help them knowing about the patients properly and can
know more about them which would help them in solving their problems in an more better way.
So there should be always an good kind of communication should be their as to make them feel
better and that can help in curing them in an better manner.

Verbal communication is been occur while one person is speaking and the other person
who is listening. the verbal communication as the two ways to process which is speaking and the
other is listening, the health care people needs to have the proper way of verbal communication
knowledge some of the skills should be like:-
They should respond to the questions they have been asked.
It is important to know about the actual problems and the requirements of all the
individual persons.
They should conduct the team meeting and should share the important and necessary
information among them.
Should manage the bad news and how to be convened so that the receiver would get
major shock.
Care workers should know how to provide help to the people, so that they would be able

Non verbal communication
As communication is done through speed so people uses different varieties of the from
which is non- verbal communication (Dobson, 2012). In this communication some of the forms
is body language, it is had been done as they make the involvement of the individual by using
their body and their appearance to make the communicating in some and the other way. From the
care worker example it is been like which is been included in it like their behaviour, appearance
and their attitudes in sending the messages to that people who use to take use of the care.

2 Importance of effective communication in health and social care.
Effective communication is important in the health care, as it helps the care workers to
make proper knowledge of the things which the people has to say or which they have to convey
would be done properly. In the case of Maggie they should focus on the tools and techniques to
communicate with her, are like:-
Active listening- Care workers (Kate and June ) of Maggie should have to be active
listeners, as the active listeners use to listen carefully what the other person speak to
them. If they will be an active listener then they can be able to know about the problems
and issues Maggie have, that would help them to make solution and to get idea that how
can they solve their problems.
Use of body language- All the people uses the different kind of body languages to
communicate and to express their feeling to the other and that body language is been used
mainly so that it would support to the thing which they are conveying to the other. It is
good to use the body language and to use while communicating by Maggie as she would
understand it properly but it is important to express it in an correct manner (Donna
Foxalland PGDip HSc, 2013).
Facial expression and eye contacts- Face is very much expressive it can show the exact
expression about the things they have to covey. So the care worker of Maggie should
have the proper kind of facial expression which would help their to understand that what
they are trying to tell her and ask that would help them in taking care of her in an proper

3 Effective communication skills with the services users, peers, collogues.

colleagues, peers, services users. The communication should be in an effective manner as that
can make an proper way to make it convey the message to all in an better an correct manner
(Geens, Roetsand Vandenbroeck, 2015). They should know the proper knowledge of conveying
the message to the people which would provide them to understand the things and can be able to
know about their issues. It is important to have the proper way to make the effective
communication in between all the people which would make them to get the proper and better
information to the people who are the receiver as that they would proceed further. Health care
has to make sure about the process and the medium which they are using to convey the message
to the other should be chosen carefully so that would help them in conveying their message to
the people which they want to convey. Then medium should be good as it helps in transferring
their messages to the people so it should be good an effective as it would be dependent on that
medium that how it would be convey and at what time. as that plays an important role in
communication as that would make many better Some the things which they have to take care of
it are:-
It is important to have an person who is an good listener otherwise there is no use of
saying anything to them as if they will not listen carefully then there is no use of
conveying them the message. So it is necessary to have the proper listening quality which
would help in knowing the things easily. If their would be an goo listener then the
speaker would not face any kind of problem in conveying the message as they would
listen to their message which they are trying to give to the people. If the service user is
the person who is an good listener then it should help himself/ herself as it would follow
the structures or the things the health care workers want to communicate with them.

service users so that they would know about the things what they have to do or follow.
While doing the communication it is good to communicate in an good and friendly
manner so that they would show the interest in listening carefully. It helps as it makes
people to listen by the good mode and they would try to follow (Gilbertand Powell,2010).
It is good to communicate in an full confidence way as that will make that impressive in
front of peers, services users, etc. if they could say it by confidence then the service users
would get the confidence. If the speaker would have the proper amount of confidence in
his/ her tone while he/ she conveying the message then it will automatically bring the full
confidence and motivation in the people who are listen to them (Heathand Mathur, 2010).
It is an necessary part to choose the correct form of medium to communicate which
would help them in understanding the things and to knowing what they are wanting to
say and that can help the speaker to convey his/ her message in better and faster way.
Medium should be correct as that would make them in passing the proper information to
the people to whom it is to be sent which would help them in receiving the information
send to them in an proper manner so that they could make sense of it.
