• Currently owns 18% of the total telecom market globally (Bowler,

• Recently, Huawei was accused for cyber espionage, theft of
intellectual property from T-Mobile and trade violations
• According to the US Intelligence, the Chinese government is using
Huawei for spying on communication, threating national security
(Brandom, 2019)
• US has banned Huawei from their 5G network
• Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan also joined USA in banning
Huawei in their 5G telecom infrastructure (Lecher & Brandom, 2019)
