Huawei is the second-biggest smartphone manufacturer and supplier
in the world after Samsung.
Currently owns 18% of the total telecom market globally (Bowler,
2020)
Recently, Huawei was accused for cyber espionage, theft of
intellectual property from T-Mobile and trade violations
According to the US Intelligence, the Chinese government is using
Huawei for spying on communication, threating national security
(Brandom, 2019)
US has banned Huawei from their 5G network
Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan also joined USA in banning
Huawei in their 5G telecom infrastructure (Lecher & Brandom, 2019)
Huawei is facing fall in revenue and reputation due to these
accusations
