The chosen case study for the report is where the e-commerce organization Shopify uses
HubSpot CRM for managing high volume sales of the company. Customer information is
required for Shopify to analyse the customers’ order history through which product selling
can be better (O'donnell et al. 2016). The operation management team extracts this
information and apply decision making tools for finding key insights and this is
communicated to other employees for making better promotion.

As mentioned earlier the customer information handling of Shopify is done by HubSpot
CRM which is a really good software and can be installed any standard computer with 1 GHz
or faster x86-bit or x64-bit processor with minimal (4 Gb RAM) volatile memory. The
HubSpot CRM can prevent data with latest DDoS defence security protocol with high grade
application firewall.
The key factors for match of information systems to user requirement for is that the
components in the system must be inside the user requirement document (Junglas, Abraham
and Watson 2008). The accessibility, accuracy, audit and control, availability, capacity and
current forecast of CRM software (HubSpot CRM) must be sufficient enough to meet the
user requirements which can be related to product and/or service.
Conclusion:
Thus for growth of Shopify’s market a suitable IT policy is needed that nearly resolves all the
IT issues in organization. The IT policy consist policies of Data protection, internet, email
usage, social media usage, website privacy, password, Physical security, network access,
acceptable usage and Indent response. Frequent Evaluation of this IT policy is needed for
continuing secured processes in the organization.
